Absolutely, kltpzyxm.
Please don't think I was missing your point, which you made very clearly.
I am as curious as you to know how Grasvenor's timing works; it appears to be self-contradictory.
I was merely backing up the grounding upon which you pose such a relevant question. :beer:0 -
Perhaps I should have elaborated more regarding my confusion. If Grasvenor has already waited 6 weeks then the latest the claim could have been submitted was early MAY. Surely he/she CANNOT have received bill number 4 for a deal starting in March? If bill number 4 has not been received, so it cannot have been included in the cashback claim. Surely in this case the T&Cs have NOT been followed. Strange that TMO have not rejected this claim and have indeed emailed Grasvenor indicating that the cashback will be paid.....
Please feel free to highlight any errors in my logic
grayme-m & saint: what are your thoughts?
Troll?
Unless the March 2007 is wrong, then it is all balls.
Say it was delivered 1 March, then it could only be bill three arriving on 1 (ish) May to allow for seven weeks to today.
Personally I find that people don't have the same regard for values/dates/etc. as I do (it's my job), so they tend to quote values that are not strictly correct.
I certainly wouldn't say that TMO are bad off that experience either.
It would be interesting if OP could respond to clarify.Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
Grayme-m,
Earlier in this thread, TMO stated that (in breach of your contract) your cashback would be delayed "10 to 14" days.
By calculation from your previous postings, today (19 June) your cashback would now be 17 days overdue.
Have you received your money? Have you, indeed, received anything?
And, if not, what have you done about this?
Please could you tell us.
Thanks.
Please answer, enquiring minds want to know. :question:Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -

Hi G,
Troll was my initial view, but wanted to get views of others.
Like yourself, I wish to use my own experiences to assist others in their quest of receiving what they are entitled to...0 -
Hi Shelby,
whats the status of your cashbacks. I've read all your posts, and you dont seem to mention your personal experiences with TMO (forgive me if I missed something). Do you have an active contract with TMO? You also seem to be very interested with Grayme-M 's progress. Your personal experiences are very important, as they can give future TMO customers invaluable information and hopefullly a better insight on how to present their claims to achieve a positive result without the trials & tribulations that us veterans have come up against, if and when they find themselves in a similar situation. Perhaps you are in a similar situation to G, and are waiting for the outcome of G's situation, or you (like me) simply get great satisfaction from trying to help others with whatever problems they are experiencing....0 -
Hello again,
I sent bills 10 and 11 in by special delivery yesterday so I would imagine that MO will receive them before 1pm today (as long as Royal Mail are doing their job!). Therefore this is day 0 of my 4/5 cashback claim. I'm expecting a baby in about 6 weeks time, so I believe it is a race between baby arriving and cashback appearing in my bank account. Chasing this one up could well be difficult, as could sending my final cashback claim in which will be in mid July, but I'll keep you all informed about the timescale. I must admit I'm looking forward to finishing this 12 month cashback deal and have secured myself one with CPW for the next 12 months, who have slightly less rigorous requirements regarding the timing of the sending in of invoices!0 -

Grayme-m,
Upon the basis of what you have advised us all, today is 46 days since TMO received your last claim.
The Mobile Outlet gave you on here the assurance that its (contract-breaching) delay in its payments to you would not exceed 14 days.
I very greatly respect the high regard that you have for values/dates/etc and it is for precisely that reason that I am asking you whether or not, 18 days after your cashback became payable by TMO, you have received your cashback, or, indeed, anything else (and, if so, what) from TMO?
If you have not received your cashback, please could you tell us what you are doing to obtain it.
You post frequently to this thread and people look to you for your advice to prevent them doing anything that might be estimated stupid.0 -
Hi all, been on holiday and househunting for a week
, so have been away from the board.....
To update you on cb claim #2 of 5.....
As I mentioned earlier, I sent TMO a reminder e-mail to all three of their addresses to politely enquire about my payment, as it was 29 days since they receipted the claim. On 11 June, I got two e-mails confirming receipt and that BACS payment would follow in 7-10 days. I assume this to be working days. I will be checking my account next week to see if this payment turns up before following up with TMO.
Guys, having read back through the last couple of pages, it seems that the thread once again may be in danger of deteriorating into some kind of personal slanging match. Please can we keep it civilised so Edinburghlass does not shut it down for good. I for one would like it to stay until I've at least completed my entire cb year ( as I'm sure others would too ) so as to keep the info flow going for the benefit of all. Thanks.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

kltpzyxm,
Last year we had in our care the son of friends of mine in Prague who was studying here. He wanted to get a British 'phone on monthly contract for the worthy purpose of calling his parents and friends without expense to us. He did not, however, have a British bank account at that time and asked me if I could do the business for him with The Mobile Outlet, pointing out that it would cost me nothing. This I agreed to do. One does.
I thus found myself in the position of being owed cashback by TMO.
TMO got up to its usual tricks over the final payment and I came to this site to see the experiences of others and gauge the most efficacious way to handle them. I sent them a Letter Before Action under a letterhead that would have given them no doubt that I was serious and they then paid me rather than incur court costs.
I have continued to watch this thread because a close personal friend of mine also has a ‘phone purchased from TMO and has experienced delays in obtaining the cashbacks.
I usually purchase my own ‘phones from The Carphone Warehouse and on the last one I bought I negotiated, in-store, a better price for it than any online deal available at that time. The cashback was paid, up-front, at the moment of sale and was paid directly into my bank account.
I find the progress of grayme-m's claim(s) interesting because he appears to be on top of matters such as dates and adherence to contracts but is adopting a policy of appeasement towards TMO over his cashbacks that is in direct contrast to my own action. Mine worked. I am intrigued to see whether his will.
Hope that answers your question and that I will be forgiven for going off-topic by doing so!0 -
Shelby: Thanks for the clarification0
