Brenda my emails came through today so I guess the wait is now on for 4th and 5th Cheque. Hopefully I will get them before Christmas ;-)

No. Not if he follows my free advice and cancels immediately.

And just to be pedantic, the initial fee is now £35, (for claims between £301 and £500). The minimum fee for issuing a summons via MCOL is £25 (covers up to £300)

I'd love to know what TMO calls you by now!

Mmmm - well, they know how to contact me.

And I suppose everyone has their price to persuade them to pop off to the land of saki or whatever and never darken these forums again!

    Hi all

Just wondering if anyone knows of any other forum being used to discuss the cashback problems with TMO? I'm sure many people are affected, but am not confident that they would all know how to go about sorting it out ... for me, it's been the forumqueries team that has come up trumps before ... they're the only ones who've actually replied to my mails ... good, but only if you know about this forum.

    Regards

Well I got one of my outstanding cash-back claims paid. I'm still awaiting the current one.
    Fingers crossed!

The only other forum I know of is on The Motley Fool (TMF) website: http://boards.fool.co.uk/Message.asp?mid=10595575&sort=whole
I actually found this forum first and one of the contributers referred me to MoneySavingExpert (MSE). There's bound to be forums on other sites (I haven't really searched) but I think you are unlikely to find a similar forum with as much detail as here on MSE! I believe if anyone has a cash back claim issue or query regarding TMO, then by simply by reading the whole thread here (okay, would take a few hours :) ), they are likely to find the answer to their question.

Quentin, You're correct that I did not send a 'snail-mail' LBA - but I did send one by E-mail, together with several follow-ups (each received their normal 'delay in response' automated reply, followed by no reply at all..) At least I have their automated response as evidence that they received the E-mails.

I contacted MCOL this morning asking if I could cancel or put on hold my claim until I submitted a hard-copy LBA. They advised me that the written LBA was not necessary. I'll have to wait and see on that one.

Brenda, you're right in that their E-mail stated 14 working days. However, I don't see why I should give them ANY extension! They wouldn't have granted me a single day extension, for WHATEVER reason!

Well, it's submitted now, let's see what happens.....

    Cheers,
    Don

    Good!

Keep a full note of the conversation you had with MCOL, together with a name if possible.

Regarding the 14 working days they wanted.

You are right - no need to worry about this.

If someone owes you money under a contract, then whatever the problem, they can get the money to you within 3 days! (Unless of course they have none!)
  • Morning all

Good news from me ... TMO have agreed to pay my second installment having seen my Proof of Posting Cert which clearly shows the date. Payment will be made within 7 working days :)

Good luck to you all and thanks for the helpful comments

P.S. They do suggest that claims should be made using Recorded Delivery which is guaranteed 72 hours so that claimants can check TMO's signature on-line at the Royal Mail web site.
