Cabin bag size for Easyjet

Ive got 2 different sizes with regards to cabin baggage for Easyjet, on the info from Lastminute.com it says " cabin baggage should be no larger than 56cm (22 in)Tall x 45cm (17.7in)Wide x 25cm(10 in)Deep "
yet on the easyjet boarding pass it gives 50 x 40 x 20cm. Would I be correct in thinking go with the size from easyjet ?
And just below it says You can bring a slightly bigger bag up to the max size of 56 x 45 x 25cm inc handles and wheels but on some busy flights, your bag may have to go in the hold.

If you take the larger size then they will not guarantee to carry it in the cabin it may be collected and labelled and put in the hold.
If yours is the smaller one then they guarantee to carry it in the cabin.
This is all to do with the storage space available in the cabin and number of pax.
So if you NEED your items in the bag when onboard - take the smaller one.
Even before this, I have seen, when there is a full load, staff at the gate going around and putting baggage stickers on cases to be collected at the aircraft door and to be put in the hold.0 -
They made it smaller just a couple of weeks ago, so maybe LM didn't update their site. Go with the airline's page.0

Nope, it was a guarantee for a smaller size that they introduced.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

I thought they'd set the limits smaller ... so was trying to be helpful... and should clearly stay out of stuff I don't understand (e.g. flights, planes, holidays, luggage)
Until this moment, with the word "hand luggage", I always thought you had to sit it on your lap/under your chair, to be honest. Didn't know about overhead/sizes/allowances at all!0 -

Thanks.
Unless you are travelling to a busy destination, such as perhaps a Spanish holiday destination, it is unlikely to be an issue anyway.
Even then it will likely only affect you if you are amongst the last to board.
Of course it's ludicrous if you have your valuables in your hand luggage. So if it is really an inconvenience to you, remove any luggage tag that they may have put on your hand luggage before you get to the aircraft. As it only marks you out as a likely candidate.0 -
