Advice needed on bankruptcy forms

They have taken my forms and I have paid the fee but have to go back on Wednesday at 10am for the hearing I did get told the judge probably wouldn't want to see me but just in case.

I thought it would be over today they did have an appointment tomorrow on my birthday but I have to go to Jon centre at that time so couldn't make it.

I would have thought if you have paid then the court clerk has checked the forms and all is OK, that’s what they are there for, because any mistakes must be rectified before the judge sees the forms.


Wednesday seems a formality but seems strange they cant find a judge in a court:rotfl:, especially if you were told it will be completed on the same day

it depends on the court, I had to go twice, once to submit the forms, then again the next day for the judge to proceed the BK, i saw the judge but was a formality, all done and dusted within a minute. Sometimes you don’t even need to see the judge.

I did think while I was there, really you can't find a judge in a court:rotfl:

He didnt really checck them not that I saw anyway he looked at the petition but not the statement one, unless he looked at it while I was signing the other forms.

I am hoping I dont see the judge on wednesday he did say the judge probably wont want to see you, but I cant say that for sure.

I have my reciept saying I have paid the fee aswell, and I have one set of forms back out of the 3 he said they only wanted two copies, should I take the other one wednesday and say I want it stamped?

mine was stamped, you can ask but it will not make much difference because you keep your copy only. the court keeps one and they send one to the OR.

Yeah the court kept two and stamped both of them, I guess tehy are the important ones then as long as they are stamped, and I have the reciept saying when I paid the bankrupthy fee.

Enjoy my birthday tomorrow and then wednesday should all be over apart from the OR call of course.

Well today is the day, back at the Court for 10am, for the Judge to stamp my bankruptchy, hoping I wont have to see the Judge but if I have to im sure it will be fine I hope.

Hopefully after today things will start to look up again.

Thank you my mum couldnt get today off work, so my brother is coming with me today, so at least I wont be on my own there.

all done that was easy, was only there 15 mins, got there at 10 and the judge had already looked at the forms and signed them, so just collected them, and went back to the main desk where they gave me my petition saying i have been adjudged bankrupt, and said the OR will ring me within a couple days to go over the rest of it.

Staff where very nice, I was very worried this morning before going, felt sick but really it was fine, like you all told me it would be.
