I haven't used the main part of the site much recently but it does look better & easier to use.

However, my main gripe is with the slowness of the Forums. They seem to be painfully slow to load, certainly compared with other forums I use (such as Pistonheads) which are virtually instantaneous. I have 4 Mb cable broadband so the speed of loading for any web forum shouldn't be an issue. For people with a slower connection or who are still on dial-up I imagine the forums could be almost unusable. I would use them much more if I found them faster.

Hi Martin, well so far apart from a time delay, on things appearing, which isn't that bad, 2-3 seconds, I am finding your new look great, it's easily accessable, it's user friendly, it's more disable friendly for people like me who have dyslexia, so I thankyou all for that, I don't have any problem's, but then I build computer's every day, so I know how to sort problem's out, thanks everyone for a job well done, computerwoman.

(even tho my smilies are still having the odd moment to themselves )

Yeah, I've been noticing quite a few little white boxes around the place where I expect smilies to be...

edit: The *** (user rating) image on the left also seems to be bust for me.
And I get a Javascript error on every submit...
edit 2: Ooh, the *** image is back... :)

how about the facility in userCP to turn off the side bar (if it isn't already!)?

it's just using up valuable screen size for me.

    cheers
I agree. I'm happy with everything else, but just find the right hand strip is wasting screen space that I'd rather fill with the forum.
    Happy chappy

As Martin has said before though, it's the same size as the space that was on the left hand side of the old site. I don't remember anyone complaining then! :undecided
