Thanks Q-b, but nothing I tried made any difference.
Then techie son told me to type and highlight the short link, then enter URL into "Insert Link" box and HEY PRESTO
it sort of works. But it's difficult to get a space after the highlighted bit!

don't understand why there's "todays posts" and "recent posts" ... but you scrapped the "300 recent posts " showing not only the title line of the post .. but also the words of the post ..

just shoeing the tuitle line is no use .. sometimes you don't know what subject it refers to .. and then to find out more you have to click into the posts . and often to the last page of it.

totally "un-user friendly" !!

I used to glance through over 1000 posts a day .. and learn loads .

hardly come on the site now .. rely on the weekly email.

Surely the tech need to provide this can't be that bad ?

I'm not whingeing about good developments .. i'm simply saying one facility has been taken away that i found extremely helpful.

I have been a massive supporter of this site .. and read over 1000 threads a day on the forum .

I miss that now,

I was trying to show you that you can see what is in the thread without opening the thread as you state is necessary but it looks like it was wasted on you! Did you click on the screenshot link?

(apart from the arrogance of that statement) .. yes i saw the screenshot .. yes i know if you hover the mouse over the heading it shows you some of what's in it .. but that's the first post of the subject .. not the latest .. so you have to click in to it .. which was the point i was making.

Don't know what is "bizarre" in the way i use the forum ...

I used to come on to the forum 3 or 4 times a day ... one click onto " 300 recent posts" ... and i'd get the complete list of post heading and thread content that i could just scroll down quickly .. stopping to read any threads that were of real interest to me .

I would learn loads every day .. i'd be very up to date .. on all subjects and conversations that were going on .... what's "bizarre" about that heaven knows . !!

Now .. if i click on "todays posts" .. all i see is a post heading.. that might not explain what the subject is actually about .. and then i'd have to click to get into the posts.. and then click ..or scroll to the most recent postings . .. that's what i call "un -user friendly" . compared to the method it used to be .

stop getting aggressive towards me espresso .. bang out of order . ..and not appreciated.

Is there anyway that you can have more than 12 pages of posts when you click on New Posts? Unfortunately if I click on new posts after being away for a day or 2 I don't get the previous days posts it still brings up 12 pages.. Anyway around this please?
