So you must buy the cheapest of everything then, what TV do you have?

You own a TV? That's not very MSE. Anything more than a chair in your house is just a waste in my opinion.

Yes but this is Money Saving Expert, it is a website about saving money. Bugaboo is not money saving. I would suggest you try Mumsnet where you will find plenty of Hyde Park ladies who don't care about money and think Bugaboo represents value for money.

Sorry, that was far too harsh. Result of too much red wine. Please accept my apologies.

I would buy the best quality and spec. Never been impressed by what is the current fashionable brand name and cannot help think that those that are, are gullible idiots.

Not as bad as some of the other posts... imagine if you'd had a few Stellas! :D
  • I should imagine that if you were convinced by its authenticity for 2 years and could only confirm it was fake by checking the serial number from the manufacturer then maybe there is nothing to worry about. Although it is fake there is no reason to suggest it is dangerous. As others have said, maybe this fake came from the same factory as the authentic ones, but someone is trying to make a bit of money on the side. If the fakers have gone to the effort to replicate the genuine buggies 100% then it should just as safe as a real one, unless there is some fault with it, which 2 years of use suggests there is not.

I doubt Bugaboo will give you any money back as you did not buy it from them, and the ebay user may have long gone. If you can check to see if they are still there though perhaps get in touch and inform them that it is a fake. They may be unaware of this. I think you will have a hard time getting your money back, but you may be able to get the seller in trouble with trading standards if they are knowingly selling fakes, and thus prevent other people from buying these fake products.

Crikey I have just thanked Zandoni. Not often we see eye to eye :rotfl:

    Thanks I feel honoured.

We all have different things we like to spend our money on, so good luck to someone buying what's best for their children.

I have to ask. Why would anyone pay £1000 for a pram?

The world has gone mad. I feel very old some days. :o

true! The problem with bugaboos is that they are not that comfortable for the child - imagine staying in a sitting position for hours... other pushchairs allow to properly recline, bugaboo chameleon rotates the sitting child. Not good really...
