Hi scotdebs - hope you don't mind me dropping in to your diary, I've been revisiting my forum posting from earlier in the month and just caught up with your posting. Love your diary, many chuckles (ebaying children, surely not !!)

We've got the same groceries challenge - just added my receipts up for August and nearly fell off the sofa! Although I'd be happy with cheese sarnies & fishfingers every night, OH has restless taste bud syndrome, and since he's in charge of most of the cooking, there's regular budget-blowing 'experiments' that appear on around a fortnightly basis. I'm hoping to introduce him to wartime recipes to bring the cost down:rotfl:

Have a similar amount of debt as you, and would also love to get rid of the mortgage after the debts, so will subscribe if that's ok, and good luck!

Hi suzi welcome e:hello: a 4am post were you really late going to bed or up really early :rotfl:

Ashamed to say grocery challenge has been an epic fail ( to quote ds1) this month. Think I have tried to cut down too quickly the more savvy grocery shoppers suggest cutting down gradually so will give myself a bit more leeway this month.

Just checked top cash back account am STILL waiting for £40 cash back from changing my insurance in may to be confirmed  but on the plus side the wee bits I have in there plus eBay account means I have about £120 for my treat pot ( either Xmas or birthday or both ;) )

Right payday today:j away to play with the spreadsheets and work out overpayments .........

I just popped on to your diary say hello. I've been reading your diary and will subscribe. Good luck with your debt busting and your ebaying - you've inspired me to reconsider it after chucking it for a while. I will be cheering you on from the sidelines :) I also wondered when reading your diary how much my own child would fetch on eBay, something to consider on those 'challenging' days mine has every so often :rotfl:

Hi Debs - forgot about the time i was posting! Just a mid-sleep wake up (occasional insomniac, in my case triggered by playing with spreadsheets !!) I've joined in the grocery challenge, and having read your post may be about to repeat your pattern of being too strict  - here's to a difficult September!
