  • Brilliant- feels lovely to be considered a good bet doesn't it? Have you worked out the difference it'll make to your DFD?

To be honest FE our debt is so big and the rest of the aprs are so high that it doesn't make much of an indent :o but it means I can clear another card before Xmas and hopefully soon after that they will offer 0% transfer balance and from there we can get in to an upward rather than a downward spiral on the cc's :j and that's when the DFD will really start to come down - current calculator says early 2016 but I would love to be clear by end of next yr or not long after - will mean ebaying everything in the house :D but will be worth it

It all helps scotdebs and I am so pleased you have got hubby accepted for that card. And if you have to EBay everything in the house, so be it! :D I have Ebayed this house to death......it helped to clear a $5k cc in 3 months! My problem now is that I really have very little left to auction off! Have you thought about purposely shaving a few months off your planned debt free date and using it as a motivator. It doesn't hurt to shift your aim and focus on it. Best of luck with the auctions this week. :)

  • Hok3y am hoping to shave about 12 months off:rotfl:

This house is full of stuff some which might sell on eBay and some well......... The skip probably wouldn't even accept it :o

Example - in looking for ds1s wellies for a cub trip found about 3 sets of waterproofs in immaculate condition that are now too small for ds1 and ds2 and in the loft loads of baby clothes etc also toys toys galore but not sure if these are better at a car boot? Must admit the thought of a car boot does traumatise me somewhat:eek:

  • Dear diary......I have been cheating on you with another thread.... Make £10 a Day Challenge :rotfl:

Not much happening in the debt busting front since getting the 0% cc deal. Think i have managed to cover the gap in the September budget so back to square one on my treat pot :(

Uuurgghh this just seems like such a slog sometimes but light at the end of the tunnel ......one loan finishes this month and another next which means we can throw some £££ at the debt but still be able to manage the odd treat - have come to realise that I am not one of the super dedicated mse'ers that can rack up 25 NSDs a month and live on a grocery budget of £15 a month ;) - well someone has to keep the local takeaway driver in employment - I consider it a public service rather than unnecessary frittering of ones income :D

  • Tee-hee. We had a takeaway pizza last night- didn't want to confess on my own thread as already had a lot to fess up to so thought I'd hide it here on yours. Feel a lot better now- I'll go to MSE heaven after all lol!

  • Well final payment for a loan went out my account today :j no 2 of 14 bites the dust:T

Will update list of shame nearer the end of the month as I should be getting my cc statements in over the next few days. Only 12 to go:rotfl:

Consider yourself awarded a MSE Gold Star. Not really. I don't have that sort of power.

Now, if you're looking for something to spend the extra money on, there's a lovely pair of shoes in a shop near me..........
