Evening
Kids next door having a sleep over in the tent / garden! 6 girls aged 10 / 11 years, and they are making enough noise for about 40 kids, or a large football crowd, hopefully they will wear themselves out soon and quiten down!
Not sure the curry I made was a good idea as it has made me even hotter!!
Work was very busy.
Going to water the pots in a bit

My mum bought me a plant for Easter which I nearly (accidentally) killed. She took it for some TLC and has just brought it back - it's HUGE - it's a Datura.
It now has a new, sheltered home. DD has been despatched, outdoors to sit in the breeze with her tablet, a cool drink and an ice cream. She was siitting in the LR and looked VERY hont and bothered - hottest room in the house...
I've made their beds, brought in, and ironed, todays wash. I need to wash me (again)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Seeing Mum wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. We ended up meeting up at New Street Station and DH joined me as back-up. There were a couple of digs, but I let it go. Major hurdle over.
Not much flying this week. Just too hot and too busy. Will do a quick S&S tomorrow morning and Sunday, but I need to get back on board seriously on Monday.
Hope everyone is surviving the heat. (((hugs))) and spoons to anyone in need.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -

Evening all
Still very hot here but there is a light breeze. Watered the front garden and put DW on. Just run a bath for DS3 so I'm going to water the pots in the back garden then call t a day. Hoping to wake up full of catch up vibe tomorrow. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
47 days left of the holidays
DS2 has had a meltdown because he wanted to go to bed at his normal time.
I made OH a cake with icing sugar sprinkled on top. When he blew out the candles the icing went everywhere. DS2 freakled out and head butted OH's nose.
Still boiling here.0 -
The breeze is here as well and the temps have dropped from todays high of 30C according to a local weather enthusiast to 27C. I'll be happy when we hit the teens again :rotfl:
DD finally went to bed at 8.30, apparently she's been up since 2am. I've just put the last wash load on to do its thing while I have a go at fixing some of DDs photos she's taken. I let her take her old digital camera with her incase it never made it back, but it puts a big black mark on the image if not zoomed in so a lot of her pics have a mysterious black blobFortunately I'm getting pretty good with picture editing so I should be able to edit them out if I am left alone to do it as its nearly always appeared in the sky
I've done what I can without getting my tablet & pen out but I want her to go through the pics and delete any she doesn't want before I start the next stage. I mean, how many pictures of the Eiffel Tower does she need?:rotfl:
Tomorrow will be a computer day I think and list making for back to school stuff, groceries and a couple of "long term" purchases.I need to get it written down so I don't forget anything and I can switch my brain off. I don't want to be awake at 4am again thinking "I need to do X, Y and Z before..." again!
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I just checked out the uniform I picked up today and I have no idea what is going on but the stuff is so much smaller than what we already have I need to take most of it back and swap for bigger sizes I think!!
My feet are agony.. I laid on the bed for 45 minutes earlier which made the swelling go down a little but I am in a fair bit of discomfort with them nowand I MUST remember to take off the rings tomorrow, my hands hurt too..
Dot just woke up screaming the house down so she is snuggled in the nest down here playing on the explorer.. I love those things!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
