Whooo! I found out yesterday that I passed my 3rd year "with Merit" (same as a first). I seem to have developed something of a headache in the interim! Hmmm - no idea where that came from!!!

I have never known anybody get over 90% in mathematics, let alone 100%!

Although i do accept that some subjects are almost impossible to gain 100% - i've never understood how 'art' is marked for example; if the examiner doesn't like your work you wont get the marks surely. Similarly subjects like English, creative writing etc i'd imagine are difficult to mark without bias or personal opinions

the way that our work was marked (i did JH creative writing and writing for stage, screen and radio) was along respected publishers' guidlines. e.g. faber and faber for poetry or the BBC for radio drama etc. we only got above 70 if our work was publishable standard so they were very hard to get and out of everyone who did a poetry diss, liek me, only one person got a 1st overall. i got a 2:1 overall but was exteremely chuffed to get 74 in my diss
