  • Well done everyone!

I've got my 2nd year results, 4 1sts and 2 2:1s, so a first overall so far (same as last year), yippee!

I'm going to get a first if it kills me (and it probably will tbh), but it will be so worth it to see the look on my mum's face!

    Got mine today!!!

    I GOT A FIRST!!!

And yeah - I'm shouting cos it's taken me forever - well 4 years - lol and as a single mum of 2 under 12's - it's been bloody hard work!!!!!

Well happy with myself and celebrating with a shot of caramel Baileys in my coffee - waiting till I'm at my parents at the weekend to celebrate properly so they can babysit for me.

Well done!! That is a real achievement especially with having 2 kids. Seriously, hats off.

It really does not matter what you get or what subject it is in - potential employers like the commitment of study and others skills learnt

Hmmmm - I disagree with that, in that you can't study philosophy and then decide to be an English teacher, for example.

When I was in HR and interviewing people then it DID matter what grade and subject they got because we specified what we wanted when advertising and recruiting. - When you want an Environmental Officer then you don't want someone with a degree in Spanish applying really???? Also sometimes if you have two identical candidates then the grade can be the only thing that separates them.

It's all very well saying it doesn't matter what grade you get until you've worked either bloody hard to get a First or just done the minimum to scrape an Ordinary - If I had got any less then I would have been really annoyed at myself!!!!

I got a 2.2 in Forensic Science BSc (Hons)!!!!
I'm really pleased, I always end up wishing I get higher than what I do though! My graduation is on the 19th July, so I'm starting to get nervous about that. Now I have to enter into the adult world......
