WRONG.
i dont apply for jobs for instance a HGV licence, why I have a normal driving licence. I have never taken a driving test in HGV / LGV and i have no tac reading.
I dont apply for jobs being a Manager why I've been unemployed a long time and my work experience is properly about 1month.
even though under new deal I was self employed as a market trader and it was my job to order stock, pay for it, price it, and then sell it and get the stall etc.
Reasons I dont apply for carer, I'm not that way inclined. Washing / cleaning someone, frankly thats a job for a women in the right mind set, but then again even my mother whos had 7 kids WOULDN'T do that job.
I've applied to be sales assistant in pretty much all the common big shops, asda, tesco's, lidl, aldi, iceland, morrisons, sainbury's, etc, and smaller ones, i've registered with numerous agency's and never heard any back.
There are also certain jobs you can't apply for unless you have the card building industry CSSC or something. which you have to pay for it costs £60 a year i believe, every year.
I personally believe the government is at fault in given the jobcentre who's job isn't to get people back into work as they would have you believe but to help people claim whatever benefits people are entitled to.
Put it this way, ask a jobcentre adviser what there job actually is and they we'll tell you its not their job to get you back into work, even though when you go to the jobcentre you'll hear them tell each other how they got this and that person back into work.
many a time i've heard them tell other people its 99.9% YOU that other 0.1% is us giving you information.
given you access to certain tests for free, which next time you'll have to pay for. etc.
Funny it used to be the jobcentre was there to get you the unemployed BACK INTO WORK, but you see thats why the government started paying others A4E etc to do it for them.
The government needs to rethink about given the jobcentre more authority, and about allowing them to sanction people, ITS NOT THE JOBCENTRES JOB TO SANCTION.
I love it when they say its not them sanctioning you but someone in a office where they send your jobsearch to that "they" belive isnt good enough and its that person you never see who decides.
They dont know you, they know nothing about you. And in this day and age NO ONE should be sanctioned.
Maybe the government should think about saving money, instead of given themselves £7000+ pay rises, <equal to 2 years of jsa for most people. if of course they get paid anything.
then of course you have all the immigrants coming into the country and immediately getting benefits, and taking low paid jobs, jobs which the british person can't take because being british they have the minimum payment which i believe is something like £5.50 a hour, whereas immigrants can be paid as little as £2 a hour.
So you still don't get it?I am not a cat (But my friend is)0 -
Get up late morning, watch Jezza on his 100" Plasma, spend the afternoon in the pub. How is he going to stand a chance of finding a job with a busy schedule like that
I wish.
I have no idea who jezza is, oh wait you mean that piece of horse **** in the morning that my mum watches Jeremy Kyle, No i dont watch him, I go out and do my mums shopping, if she needs me to, pay her bills, get her medicine, go to the council and pay my rent, spend my time down the other council to tell them i've been sanctioned when i've been sanctioned, come back home, go out and cut the lawn on the grass if it needs doing,
or if its too damn hot, sit down at my computer and go online and do my jobsearch looking for jobs i can do using the standard 4 jobsite i use, and if i can think of anywhere else.
And applying by the rules, funny, it doesnt say anything in the rules about applying for jobs you cant do, it doesnt say anything about apply for jobs fullstop. it says you must be able, looking and willing.
actually you know what, i'll think i'll just scan the Your responsibilities part of the jobseeker's allowance and post it here.
I dont own a plasma, my lcd tv is a 22in which is also my monitor to my pc, pub? I havent been to a pub since i was 18, I dont smoke, 1 dont drink0 -
Well in responce to the person who said i'll end up in prison.
Well i guess then the taxpayer will end up paying £20,000 a year instead of £2,000 then.
And still no one has answered my actual question in post 1.
but yet all decide to jump on the bandwagon, or should that be my back. Guess they all work. never been unemployed for long periods. Ah well, when this country goes down "thanks to the tories", and most of you end up loosing your jobs to CUTBACKS, and being replaced by cheaper staff I guess I'll still be the one loosing my mind.
And 1 final note on applying for jobs you cant do, "If the jobcentre where to look at the jobs you have applied to and found out these jobs where jobs you couldnt do, due to qualifications or whatever, couldn't that be classed as FRAUD," after all you where applying for jobs to get back into work, not to just give the jobcentre the amount of jobs they put on your Agreement, funny if everyone who did that, then got fined say £2000 for fraud, or had their benefits stopped for the amount of time they would have got that amount of benefits or instead ended up spending a could of weeks in prison, that would just be too funny.0 -
They haven't replied to my post asking what jobs they ARE applying for and where do they live.LittleVoice wrote: »The purpose for starting this thread was not to get any useful advice or answer questions which might lead to sensible actions but is here so that Andy can whinge about things, proving how unsuitable they are for work and should just be financially supported in the life to which they have become accustomed.

You need to comply with any direction given to you by the JCP. These will be detailed in your agreement, and given to you at each sign on/ meeting.0 -

Maybe because there is no answer! If you want to take someone to court you usually start by contacting a solicitor.
It would only be fraud if you lied on your application.
Of course you are the only long term unemployed person on an Employment, Jobseeking & Training forum. :rotfl:0 -
I want to know who do I contact about taking these people to court.
Cause I am coming to the end of my tether.
No one is going to tell you who to contact about taking them to court, when all you have to do is apply for jobs so you won't be sanctioned. A lot less effort that pursuing an expensive court case you won't win!0 -
this really does remind me of the woman who sat next to me at the job centre 4 weeks ago. She sad 'I hate coming here' so I replied 'You and me both'.
She went on to say they stop her money and try to stop her everytime she comes to sign.
I said 'whys that'
She replied 'they say I am not applying for enough jobs'
Oh, I went, what are you looking for?
Reply 'retail shop work'
Oh! I said (thinking ok there is a lot out there advertised part time, contract etc)
She showed me her job bookelet and she NOT filled on in since March
This was one she had had since EASTER and we were in JUNE!!
I fill in one or more every time I sign and this is why she is sanctioned as she barely had 10 jobs on it in THREE MONTHS!!We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Andy2004 is the architect of his own destruction but he's too consumed with tilting at windmills with the poor peeps down at the JobCentre to see it. Or far too stupid.
I'm rather glad someone like this is out of the job-market so I wouldn't have to encounter them through my own work.0 -

Yes. Easy to solve...
Apply for any job and for the ones you cant do simply blag it. Like you said, no one will interview you for a role your not skilled for. In the outside chance an employer wants to interview you because he (or she) is too stupid or ignorant to read your CV, instead hoping for national minimum wage minion, do these things:-
Dress inappropriately
Use broken English and slang (drop your t's)
Turn up late
Say you were sacked on some occasions, you cannot be bothered to remember which employers.
Nuff said m8!!0
