£550 a month rent is pretty affordable without a high paid job, if you don't lead an extravagant lifestyle.

I think the average wage of a single person who works ft would easily cover it.so to say a single person in your area cannot afford it full stop, is surely an exaggeration.

there is i`m sure a way to get help working part time along with my band, based on MY income, as i am sure other people will do in "my industry"

Yes there is. As I have already detailed.

Get yourself in to a private let but you must have the funds to enter a tenancy and maintain it until your benefit application is processed and approved.

    OR

Go on the waiting list for social housing and wait until you are offered a property.

What do you think the average wage for a single person in your area?

The UK average wage is 26k.

A flat at £550 is easily very affordable at that level.

And I have a feeling Oxfordshire would be slightly higher than the UK average. So yes it is an exaggeration I'm afraid.

I'm not saying you earn £26k.

You said that the average person in Oxfordshire cannot afford to rent a property at £550 a month, but figures show that, yes, the average person could. That's all I am pointing out.

Here you go. Full time 7.5 driving job. Mon - Friday 7am start, so I presume you would be finished by 330 - 4 at the latest.

Would that be an early enough finish for you to gig on Fridays?

And it's 21k so you could afford your own flat. (Not to mention the extra £ from your music)
