Juice Fasting?

I am going to start juicing today, although i'm not going to start my juice fast proper, until tomorrow. I want the pleasure of eating some of my watermelons and some potatoes which were making an arrival into the world. As i don't know how long i will continue my fast, i may have to juice my potatoes. I'll probably miss eating watermelon the most, at the moment. However i may keep juicing watermelon. It's green on the outside? I also currently have an ongoing supply of fruit and veg which i've grown, which i'll also juice, and also a variety of "tea" leaves, although i'm keen to try and stay on the green juice fast. It appears i can continue with my one drink of tea per day? Herbal teas etc are considered acceptable? It's the process of chewing which starts your digestive system.
A couple more interesting links. I like the sound of the hot lemon with ginger drink

I'm now on Day 3 of my juice fast, and it definitely isn't easy, even with the strongest resolve.
I ashamed to say i gave in to temptation last night and ate some apples as i was so cold and hungry. It could have been worse. I only ate some of my apples. I regret not being able to start the juice fast in the very hot weather, as i'm now feeling the cold.
Apart from that, it's all about getting into a routine of juicing. I'm drinking the mean green juice supplemented with watermelon juice.
Here's hoping i can resist temptation tonight?Fred - Where's your get up and go?

So if you are feeling cold and hungry what message do you think your brain is sending to your body?
1) Lets burn some fat and warm up and still feel hungry but warm
Or
2) Lets conserve some fat and try and indulate ourselves plus make him eat some more calories which we will store just in case.
The answr is the latter oneI like to give people as many choices as possible to do what I want them to. (Milton H Erickson I think)0 -
I used to have a slimfast drink at lunch then a sainsburys low calorie meal in the evening.I dropped 6 stone.0

Its an effective method to burn the fats. But I can do only a week.0

I don't think it's very healthy and when you start eating it will all just go back on again. It's just a case of eat less and move more in the nicest way. All these fad diets are just that, slimming world and weight watchers teach you more about what food to eat and what to eat in moderation.0

^^Have you ever done a juice fasting?
I'll politely tell you that you clearly don't know what you are talking about.
My fast kickstarted my metabolisom after being sluggish for a while & as well as losing 5lb on my fast I have since lost another 5lbs through my normal healthy eating & exercise routine.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

I saw an ad on teleshopping yesterday (addicted to watching teleshopping!) for a juicer called the NutriBullet. It looks good (though I know all these ads portray the products to be miracles) but it says it can blend through almonds and seeds too.Its £100 or 3 payments off £33.33, plus £6.95 p&p, but I am considering it0

quidsy - I think the previous poster was speaking of people who juice fast for over 3 months - plenty of my friends have done it, and they have put the majority of the weight back on as they did not alter their lifestyle habits. A short-term fast or detox of any nature is a good kickstart to a new eating and exercise regime, but long-term, they can be very dangerous (over 3 months).
You have gone about it the right way - many many others have not, and the previous poster is correct in stating that fasting/detox alone without other lifestyle changes will not result in long term weight loss.0 -
