Parking Eye Ltd - County Court Claim Form

Hi,
I have received several demands for money for overstaying in a car which i have ignored as suggested.
A couple of days ago i received a 'Claim Form' from County Court (Northampton) requesting £150 (amount claimed £85, Court fee £15 and Solicitor's costs £50).
Btw I haven't received any comms from any solicitors.
Has anyone gone this far in the stage of not paying?
What should I do - keep ignoring or pay up?
Thanks for your help.

Also confirm with Northampton county court that it is a genuine
case registered with them.
Also read this sticky,

Look how many are being defended with pepipoo forum help:
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=60
I am convinced most will not go to a hearing. You need to make yours a strong defence so read those links and other cases (loads on the first few pages of pepipoo!!) so read them over the weekend and learn about what's involved.
Yes this is a real small claim but it doesn't mean the PPC are going to take it to hearing, and if they do it doesn't mean you will lose. But if you ignore this you will automatically lose by default.
Read the paperwork you've been sent and acknowledge the claim saying you are going to defend it in full (presumably you are not going to just fold to this bullying and pay). Then start putting your actual defence together and post here or on pepipoo for help once you've started that process.
OH and COMPLAIN to the landowner/retailer IMMEDIATELY about their agent trying to sue you! Was it Aldi? Or a Motorway Services by any chance?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks C-M,
I will read the threads, my paperwork and appeal, even though the missus is saying 'just pay up and get it over done with'' but I am thinking i have come this far why back out now, however I wouldn't want to have any effect on my credit-scoring down the line.
The car park wasn't Aldi, service station or any major shop, just a little car park with a few shops.
This happened last year (after Oct 2012) saying I over stayed my welcome (only went out for a meal with some friends but the restaurant has nothing to do with the car park),
I'll read full paperwork tomorrow and let you know.
Thanks for your help.0 -
A small claim (IF you lose) does NOT affect your credit rating if you pay as soon as you get the judgment:

A CCJ is only when a person does not pay up.
Compare notes with others on pepipoo over the weekend by pm and see what you want to do. I would defend it and would suggest if you do a strong defence they may well not proceed to a hearing...but then I reply on here every day and wouldn't expect them to win!PRIVATE 'PCN'? You have bumped another thread that is the best part of a year old up. The original poster has not been on the forum since July last year.
If you have a problem/question please start your own thread rather than bumping old threads up.0 -
I won't lie.. I parked on a disabled bay with no blue badge! I got a ticket and ignored it as I read on here that there not enforceable! Had a few letters then received a claim form for Northampton county court.. ignored that after reading on here as well. Just checked my experience credit score and it says I have a judgement against me for £175 from Northampton county court!! My score has gone down as well. What do I do?? I didn't receive any letters after the claim form one and it wasn't recorded delivery.. do I ring experience and play dumb and say I don't no what it is or do I ring Northampton court and say I didn't receive a letter?! I can't have a ccj on my record I want to buy a house!! Help please x0

Oh dear, your post reads just like a ParkingEye troll post but I hope you are genuine. Anyway we had this one recently which was equally odd but discussed getting a CCJ set aside:

Your research of reading on here is rubbish - sorry but we haven't told people to ignore a fake PCN since early 2013 and we have NEVER EVER told anyone to ignore court papers (that would be stupid). That's why we will all smell a rat with your post; you come on late in the evening trying to blame this forum for your lack of research and your mad decision to IGNORE court papers?!
Also why post on a 2013 thread? It's ANCIENT!
And you think it's a good idea to LIE to a court, do you?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
