Anyhow, until you discover true laziness, thanks for inspiring me to get off my backside and instead get it into gear. Hope everyone has a good Sunday.
Ha ha! INOD - to me 'something constructive around the house' means a quick pootle across to the kitchen, studiously ignoring the dust, and the pile of *useful stuff* on the dining table that needs sorting. I've got on with making the bread sauce for our solstice mealI'm very good at avoiding *housework*, me
oooh, takeaway from a carton - YUM! And I'll have my curry with half & half please
I hope your Christmas break is wonderful INOD - you've had a full-on year and deserve quality R&R with those that you love

Ah GP I am still in what passes for pyjamas
Jellytot has been dressed since first thing this morning although she has just removed her slippers and is wearing them on her hands, as you do... :rotfl:
I can at least say the kitchen is sparkling and the rest of the place is tidy. I scrubbed and vacuumed yesterday and rinsed and repeated in the kitchen this morning to keep it that way and now I plan on having a lazy afternoon meal planning for Christmas to cut out the chaff from my shopping list because it is far too long!
Hopefuljoy how lovely to see DD looking after Pirin as a dog should be cared for. I disciplined my enormous Doberman from the day I got him as a puppy. He was never on the furniture, he did not jump up, he walked perfectly off the lead. For a giant, frightening looking beast of a dog, he was the gentlest, happiest, most loving dog there was. I miss himthere was nothing he would not have done for me. Indeed the only time he ever engaged in a fight with another dog was when two attacked us and knocked me over. He stood over me guarding me and snarling, barking until I got up and away, and he then just turned and followed me. I sincerely hope DD has the best experiences of having a dog that she could wish for.
GP sorry to hear of speedbumps in the road on your journey. I do hope all goes as smoothly as it can and you don't end up sliced in half.xx

Some chips and some rice LiltyA glorious creation that I have only ever come across in Wales - although it may well happen in other areas
But the Principality is where I first encountered it
I've had a furious five minutes of clearing up as I felt really guilty that my home is untidy:rotfl:

Oh my goodness!!! GP you actually just sent me back to New Tredegar in an instant then!! I went when I was about 14 with a friend from school, to visit her family with her for a few days and her friends introduced me to a 'special' from the chinese. Chips in bbq sauce, egg friend rice, and chicken show mein. All in one takeaway container. £2 :rotfl: wow... not thought about that in years!!
Egg fried rice and chicken chow mein. Fingers faster than brain... :rotfl:

ha, ha - yes, releasing my inner 1na GaRten and bringing a *touch of Paris* to a chippy dinner :rotfl:
Well, Monday again.
We went for a walk yesterday afternoon, a bit later than planned - but did anyone else see the sunset? GloriousI can actually claim a NSD for yesterday :j We did wander through the shops over to the park, but there was nowt YS'd that I needed - and certainly nothing that was a *bargain*. I think I would be annoyed if I had bought Hestonblummintall's mince pies in mrW in October at £3 summat - they have now slashed 25% off them. Still way too expensive for mince pies mind.......
Dinner last night was our Solstice meal. I made up a version of a savoury chestnut cheese cake, it had; onions, leeks, chestnuts, cranberries and then a cheese *custard* (cream cheese, yoghurt and an egg). All on top of crushed digestives. I made them in my poaching moulds. Pity that I didn't think to add some green vegetable to the plate - it looks 'beige' but it's here;
There are no sprouts - I had some, but the red cabbage needed using.
To follow we had mrL's mini chrimbo pud with vanilla ice cream (DP's choice). For 69p they were 'ok'. I see our mrL has really sold out of Christmas stock now, so that's it for this season (they do have veg, but I'm talking the chocs, puds etc)
Thanks so much for popping in, reading and joining in. Mucho appreciated.
I've got to shift a tail-feather.
See y'all later.
