Your cheese board sounds lovely. I must admit that I love cheese triangles too.
I must admit we buy Caerphilly cheese for the in laws every year. They live "up north" and do like their cheese. The tourist information centre in town does a good selection of Caerphilly cheeses so we buy a different one each christmas to take up for their cheese board. This year it's C'philly cheese with leek (can't get much more welsh than that right?? :rotfl: )

Greying_Pilgrim wrote: »Dearest MWC [STRIKE]you know us so well[/STRIKE] WHERE have you located the *fridge-cam*??????? :rotfl: Actually, we do have cheese triangles (not D-lea, couldn't stretch to them) because DP loves them as a nostalgia food! However, we also have; cheddar, red Leicester, Caerphilly, Wensleydale with cranberries, a cheddar with caramelised onions truckle and a piece of smoked Bavarian cheese (NOT in an orange plastic tube! :rotfl:)
:rotfl:
We've got aged gouda (our favourite cheese from the cheese tasting evening we did on our wedding anniversary), blue stilton (particularly good with my spicy pear pickle) and an ash-coated goat's cheese (from the farmer's market at work).
Yum - our carpet picnic (cheese/pate & biscuits, pork pie and pickles) is my favourite meal of Christmas
Merry Christmas dearest Greying and DP

I don't know how interested you are in this, but this is what piqued my feelings of *christmassyness* in the last couple of weeks. I started off with the 'Merry Christmas' and then got the urge to make the 'Noel' one too - hence it's a bit wiggly, as it was a bit rushed. The 'pink' on the MC one, is actually red and white striped shirting fabric, if you're wondering how pink got into my xmas colour scheme.......
The machine embroidered tree is what made me pull my hair out in frustration - version II is a definite improvement on version I
