Thought for Greying here, being as how you like a bit of a challenge...:)
Have you come across the Sudden Lunch blog?
I am picking up some useful ideas from there and one thing she is currently doing is she has produced an e-book on the many and varied uses for scone dough. Rather more than I thought. You might be interested and I'm planning a few little experiments myself.

The first encounter we had with the green fractal veg was in a farmer's market. How embarassing when the veg man answered by asking if I could cook a cauliflower!:o:o4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Good Evening :hello:
Tain't been the best of days - I could fain jollity, but I'm in a grump - will shake it off by tommoz, am sure. Just disappointed as much as anything......
Dinner was lightly curried butternut squash soup from Leanne's Good and Cheap pg 40 It was OK. Substituted celery in place of the green bell pepper as I had none. Was a little surprised at the quantity of cayenne pepper given in the recipe - cayenne can be quite spicy, especially if you have a fresh jar/packet. But if you are used to it, then it'd fine I suppose. I think I'll keep the recipe, as it was simple to put together and a very easy ingredient list. My butternut squash came from Ald* some weeks ago - 49p????
Put it together with some wheaten soda farls based on my usual recipe to which I had pressed pumpkin seeds into the top.
I've plenty to be grateful for today - and I do know it. I scored a NSD - I'm grateful for thatI am healthy - I am grateful for that
I am *rich* (ain't talking about munny hunny
) and I am grateful for that

Aww, hope the grumps disappear soon Greying. I tend to make myself more grumpy by sheer value of being annoyed at myself for being grumpy when I'm like that :rotfl:April 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500

Hope grump evaporates by the morning unless its somehow a useful grump!
Just popped in to say I love a Romanesque cauli and purple sprouting broccoli too. They are a treat because as you say no cheap - our local greengrocers does them and I occasionally treat us [don't think OH sees it as a treatbut I love the look as much as the taste]
Tried to grow PSB once but came back from a couple of days away to stumpy stalks - pesky slugs :mad:0
