    Lets hope if you're back to the grindstone on Monday that its not too early for you both.

    Off to pack DH's snap box for tomorrow, tidy the kitchen a wee bit more and off to bed.

    Good Morning :hello:

    Back to *normal* today :(:D

    maddiemay - a good cheese shop would have been a godsend on hols. As it was, I purchased the cheese from a butchers :eek: and a greengrocers. The butcher had vacpacked everything to within a millimetre of its being (Pippi would not have been amused at the overuse of plastic) and you had to sort through the cheese at the greengrocers to find stuff that wasn't 17 days after its best before date :eek: Mind you, at least the grocers charged a fair price. We went to a *farm shop* where they wanted almost double the price for the same block of cheese :eek: Same size, weight, packaging and everything :eek:

    Beanie - I agree, I think catering establishments think they have a captive market, but I'd rather go without, as you are right, tea and cake out and about is expensive, and its not a treat if its poor quality :( We passed a hotel on our travels, doubtless very fine, 5 star etc, but they were promoting their 'afternoon teas' for only £19.50 per head :eek::rotfl:

    rtandon - :wave: is there enough cheese talk for ya? :D

    MWC - totally lush! :D

    mothernerd - you are too kind. I'm sure a break from my wiffle has been a boon :D

    Busymumofthreeplusdog - YAY to impending hols :j Hope you have as good a time as we did :D

    Pippi - Monday definitely too early :(:o:D

    So, here we go again.

    I'm aiming for a NSD today, for the challenge of it, rather than to achieve my target. I can definitely recall 2 NSD's on hols, but that is all, I'm sure.

    I have no idea what is for dinner :o See, back to normal! I'm sure it won't be what is on the planner :rotfl: In the meantime, here is what we had last night;

    590_zpsa6424187.jpg

    The 'main' is chickpea quiche (effectively a crustless quiche made with chickpea flour) with meditteranean flavourings, including some little sweet peppers I bought on hols - yes, from the green grocers :D. The most important thing on that plate is the potatoes - HG by the gardening parental, dug up a couple of hours before they were munched and the variety is Accent just in case anyone is interested. They were tasty - not the most new potatoey taste I've ever had, but good :D

    And then we had this;

    596_zpsad67ed69.jpg

    HG strawbs off the gardening parental, picked at the peak of ripeness in sunshine a couple of hours before munching :D The ice cream was a horrid tarte citron meringue confection, but there was no vanilla in the freezer centre :( so we had to make do with anything that was not chocolate :(

    Right, I'm running late, best shift a tail-feather.

    Thank you for popping in, reading and commenting. I really appreciate it.

    See y'all later.
