    Good Evening :hello:

Well, first and foremost, we've had a good and productive BH Monday - I hope you have too.

I can't claim a NSD. DP has had that many cups of tea, that we got low on milk, so as he was near to Aldi, he was tasked with picking up a carton of milk. Since I was breaking a NSD, I also asked him to pick up 2 items out of the S6 and some bananas (even made a list). I'll leave you to work out which item we are now short of at Greying Towers...... :rotfl:

Although the day started off well, it got chilly this afternoon, so I had to ditch plans of one of the 'salads' for dinner. Instead we had HM tomato soup with some HM scones. I didn't take a pic - the light was dingy, but actually, the scones turned out ok (bero recipe). And just right for the weather :D

We've watched another 'Endeavour' - I think I'm actually preferring it to 'Morse'. Good to see Colin Dexter getting in on the filming too - as a bus passenger :D

    Today I am grateful for these 3 things;

for DP's hardwork and for his support - Team Greying rocks :D

hearing about people's achievements here on MSE - there are some good stories, proving that what you set your mind to, you can achieve......

for engaging, well-written and acted TV drama - we didn't guess 'who'd dunnit' :D

Thank you for popping by, reading and joining in. I greatly appreciate it.

    See y'all later.

Sounds great. I love Middle Eastern food so think I will add a substantial omelette and salad to our planner for this week. Thanks GP!

    Have a good eve

Hey up dear greying and chums

Yum to scones and soup and sooooper sixes.

I wanted to say thank you for the early morning hug. Mucho appreciateeeaaaooo

I had wondered if you'd sent the girls round as the ex phoned tonight to apologise and all sweetness and light.

    You're a good gal.

Have a great week, if I don't manage to pop in and out as I'd like due to pesky work.

PS Today in the manner of eating things up I invented a new sandwich. Advocado and branston pickle - it was oddly nice. I'd forgotten the worcestershire sauce with advocado for lunchypops and figured branston (in a jar at work) be a good subby.

    And, oddly it was.

Quite a fierce colour combo but a nice bit of nosh on top of me bread, I do open sandwiches of course, it being a bank holiday.

    :)

    Have a good un.

And, thank you for reminding me to think, did I have a NSD - yes I did. :D

    Good Morning :hello:

I had wondered if you'd sent the girls round as the ex phoned tonight to apologise and all sweetness and light.

    You're a good gal.

Greying hunches shoulders in, and adopts gravel-esque tones of Mr R Winstone......Went round meself like. Took it personal, like familee, innit.........

:jHurrah for apologies - it's good when they happen. Doesn't take away nor forgive the feeling left by the bad behaviour, but absence of an apology is just the pits.......

So, I'm pondering the Worcestershire sauce/branston contribution to avocado - is it the vinegar or the 'umami' I wonder? Mmm, avocados still quite pricey here (never see YS'd - well, that's not true, but they've knocked about 5p off!) but when they come down in price in the summer, I'll happily trial flavour combos - now that I've found I like avocados! :D

    Busymumofthreeplusdog -

Must remember that today is TUESDAY :D

I won't be going for a NSD today, as Dear Reader, we require milk............. good job I can nab the TV guide too to make the spend worthwhile :D However, must make sure that that is all that is bought. A big william is potentially on the horizon :(

Snap is already packed up and ready to go. Must get myself into the same configuration just now :D

Dinner this evening......... well, given our wonderful May weather......... I've got a hot option and a salad option, so I'm afraid it's 'watch this space'............ only if you want to mind, no coercion :D

So, best shake a tail-feather and get on.

Thanks for popping in, reading and making gourmet sarnie suggestions. Always appreciated :D

    See y'all later.

Hey there have a good day.

I'm mindful that its March that's supposed to be a bit changable isnt it

Not liking the sound of large williams.

The advocado's only hit the stripey stores here when reduced (better reductions than yours I'm afraid, or delighted perhaps advocado's don't sell so well up here due to the lack of mexicans and salad weather?

Busymum thanks for the inspiration - I usually have mine with worcestershire sauce and a wee splash of tabasco. Truth be told yesterday I had neither.

Will try with lemon/pepper sounds nice.

Have a good un greying and I'll await the colour of the smoke from greying towers to tell whether salad or stew.

    :D

Good morn-ternoon GP! :D All sounding good with you - well apart from the threat of large williams anyway. Make threatening faces at it - maybe it'll turn back and head elsewhere? :D:

Avocado with pickle? Sounds rather odd, that, but I must confess that lemon, salt & pepper sounds dee-lish-us. I've always been a bit of an avocado traditionalist here tending to have them naked but for a grind of black pepper. Your tortilla/omlette/frittata type thing looks rather fabby I must say - nice work!

Potato salad is about the only setting I can think of tinned potatoes potentially working in, to be honest. ;) Mind you we scored some lovely fresh new tatties yesterday YS'd down to 19p a bag - grabbed a couple of bags and they'll be featuring heavily on the menu for a few days I reckon!

I did wonder about the mayo 'splitting' but a couple of days fridge life sounds ok, it's certainly worth making some tinned tattie salad then, Greying. Sound advice as usual, thank you :)

EH you eat avocado naked ?:eek: I must admit I have never eaten any dressed or otherwise but if I do I will, at least, have my dressing gown on :rotfl::rotfl:
Aw, for the grandchild who's having trouble sleeping in the cold. Oooh, remember my childhood home, one open fire (other side of the house) and metal framed windows....... brrr! Thank goodness for grandmas and cake! :T

Ooo, I remember that too, Greying, with ice on the inside of the windows. We had the bed piled high with blankets & coats and still had frozen noses!! Washing clothes on Mondays with the back door open wide in the winter to let out the steam  Ironing on Tuesdays, brushing stairs on Wednesdays etc etc Those were the days.....NOT! Give me comfort & choice every time :D

Well the littlies wolfed down their hot dogs and cake followed by (their choice) a nice warm bath. Nanna was the one who got splashed whilst mum & dad had lovely relaxing showers in our room

Good luck with the large William :( I would do the R Winstone impression again if I were you.....

    Hope you've had a super day x
