Good Morning :hello:
Well, here's to a better day - but I lost my first post to Pippi, so I'm not sure how things will pan out :rotfl:Operator error this time I think, I'm sure I pressed a button I shouldn't have, and everything vamooshed.
Pippi - thank you for your kind comment. It was very much appreciated - although some days I feel like the farmer, other days the oxen....... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Oh, and TOTALLY BUSTED re: me being Doris. Yup, ya got meI actually looked up the meaning of Doris and apparently it is a name of the Dorian people of Greece. Dory is an English diminuitive of Doris - so perhaps I'll take to encouraging folk to, 'just keep swimming, just keep swimming....' :rotfl:Do you think that it will keep me in good stead reach 90 like Ms Day did t'other day??? Only 'X - not telling' more years to go.... :rotfl:
Chi-me - WELCOME and thank you too for your kind comment. I'm sure that I am going to have to have more medals struck for folk who [STRIKE]endure [/STRIKE] engage in reading all the threadWe'll have to have a ceremony too, with tea, cake and bunting
I shall try to 'keep on keeping on' - but there have been complaints you know, about my 'waffling on' .....
muddywhitechicken - lovely to *see* you. Golly your US trip has come round fast. I don't envy that journey though. We went from the UK to San Fran in a 'day' some years ago. I was on planet zog by the time we hit the hotel.
Busymumofthreeplusdog - hey, get you making time for me when you are on your holibontsHope you are having a WUNDERFUL time
And YAY to other harfs jumping on board and 'getting it' - even some of it - it makes it easier
Lovely to *see* you, ta for popping by
Ellidee - hope you've recovered after looking after your visitors. Thank you for popping in here and wishing me well. Mucho appreciated, I hope you know that
maddiemay - I've my fingers crossed..... no wonder it is difficult to type! :rotfl:
So, here's hoping that this Thursday turns into a *Taskfest Thursday*, and that I can hold my head up high and feel like I've accomplished something by my post tonight
Dinner last night ended up being pasta & 'bits'. Not photogenic and no culinary masterpiece - but not too bad in the circumstances...... :rotfl:
Dinner this evening, well, I'm mostly going to be attempting to make toad in the hole and associated veg. DP will be off work too tomorrow, so we're starting the weekend earlyHowever, on recent form, this may yet morph into potty noodley
Right, I'm going for a scamper around the diaries, as EH is back in circulation, I'm going to look to see if Karma's posted and generally pop into people's houses for a nose
Thank you for your ongoing support. Tis mucho, mucho appreciated - don't think for one moment I take all you lovely people for granted. I'm very blessed, and I recognise that
See y'all later.

Good morning, Greying & peeps :wave:
Glad you seem much perkier this morning dear GP, your early night did you good.
This morning is very cold and dull but we are off to take dear FiL out for lunch. He was 92 last Friday :eek: and a dear soul too. The only trouble is he is stone deaf and will only wear one of his two hearing aids so we still end up shouting to have a conversation and I usually come home with a headacheA gal has to do what a gal has to do.....
See ya all later (now I sound like Doris Day...in Annie Get Your gun :rotfl::rotfl:)

OK, so who stole all the hours??? Last time I looked it was 9.30am and I was going to conquer the world - or at least make a start on the chore mountain - and now it is nearly 2pm and broadly speaking, whilst I've been occupied, I've achieved nowt on my list. How does that happen????
little_sweetie - hope lunch has gone seamlessly and you're now having a lie-down in a darkened room
Should we all have a 'Doris Day' day next month????? :rotfl:We could quotes lines and 'whip up' dishes from Calamity Jane (did you see what I did there?? :rotfl:) Promise not to eat the daisies and take tea for two................... Look what you've started! :rotfl:
Right, better get on......

Y'all clearly need absolutely no encouragement..... as neither do I.... :rotfl::rotfl:
Pippi - I've taken to making 'finger rolls' in the loaf pans - I can rarely make a good loaf, but for some strange reason these work and I get 7 rolls from a 500g mix;
I can't claim a NSD today, as thankfully I remembered the right side of the day that you can't make toad in the hole without eggs....... *sigh* Well, you can, but then you need natural yoghurt, and ........ well, you get the drift.......
As the weekend is starting for us, I'm going to love you and leave you as we've THIS film set up in the player. Hope it's good.
Today I am grateful for these 3 things;
a sense of humour - and all those that possess it
for a couple of YS'd bargains I snagged - YAY :j
for the sunshine - YAY :j
Thank you for making my day
See y'all later.
