Awww! I love what you do with beetroot, Greying, I've only *ever* had it in a salad.
And how lovely to meet with your relative: your life is wonderful. Mmmmmm.
I'm just shutting down the lappie too - no footie for me, its Lewis - never seen it before, and my sister is making me watch it2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Karma - I feel a bit guilty now...... my relative is um, how can I phrase this delicately........a bit of a whinger.......... they have so 'much' but appreciate none of it. I always feel so relieved after speaking with them that I lead a 'simple' life. I couldn't put up with the soap opera dramatics that is their life........:rotfl:
They were certainly not the 'interesting' person I had a chat with today :rotfl:
Lovely to see you on the thread - thank you for your support :kisses3:

Good Morning :hello:
Ah, just been listening to the radio. They have announced that Tony Benn, the former Labour MP has died. I didn't always agree with his politics, but I thought he was one of a decreasing band of people that were in politics for entirely the right reasons. Margaret Hodge has just been on and said that the best thing about Tony was that he made people think.
I can think of no finer accolade. You don't have to bend people to your will, bully them or ridicule them. But make them actually think and it is amazing what happens. As it is amazing what we human beings either do on auto pilot or as a bunch of shivering sheep!
Plus the man had character - which of our modern day politicos could you say the same about?
kakleful - thank you for asking. I just got the normal 'checkup' which cost £18 ($32 Aus). He was happy with the cleanliness of my teeth, its a 'watch' on the tooth that is slowly disintegrating (no pain, just a nuisance) and the proverbial spiel about, 'no sugar added to food, no sugary foods outside mealtimes, clean your teeth 2x a day, for 2 mins, especially at night......... It was a spiel, because he sounded bored when delivering it!
I can't believe that we are on Friday again! Where is the year going? The footy was boring last night, so I only watched the first half before retiring to the kitchen to tinker with some snap.
I am definitely going to go for a NSD today. I frittered yesterday, so no spend today
Dinner is up in the air again. No, DP and I haven't had a rowBut I've two choices, and as yet, I've not plumped for one or t'other. Ho hum.
Right, well, time's a marching, and I want to jump up and down on Pippi's thread to wish her well. So I'd best get a wiggle on.
Thank you so much for stopping by, reading and commenting. I greatly appreciate it.
See y'all later.

Totally with you on Tony Benn. I was fortunate to hear him speak a few times and have read his diaries. I so feel for his family it's harder when loss is of a massive presence. He was warts and all but came across as having integrity. A sad loss.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. You need hendersons relish as a replacement for Worcester sauce.
It's a Yorkshire delicacy and sort of tastes like Worcester but without the heat. It's vegetarian and gluten free :-)Sealed pot challenge 822
