Driving Licence Replacement Scam!
This is a warning to anyone who loses and needs to replace their driving licence.
DVLA charge only £20.
Don't make the mistake I've just made and pay £60 for a load of forms from: DRIVING LICENCE UK
This is a rip-off service and their phone number is a premium rate, never-ending recorded message likely to cost around £10.
Please warn everyone you know not to use these people!

Someone posted this a few weeks ago.............
What I don't understand is why people are:
a) searching Google instead of following the instructions
b) clicking on Google paid advertisements instead of search results.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

It's the third one this week I think.
If people didn't click on google paid ads, google wouldn't be raking in the billions (and not paying tax). Just shows how many people are in too much of a rush to actually read what is in front of them. What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -

Because as you astutely point out in the Your Money, Their Tricks post, (at least) 90% of the population are thick!0 -
The bit "Ads related to" gives it away, as well as the different colour background.
I do sympathise, but unfortunately it's just a matter of being vigilant.
They're absolute scum, because it's stuff like this that simply fuels the whole "internet censorship" fire, people get caught out and they see the only solution to be full on govt run control and censorship.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Same site as yesterday? Compares their service and the free DVLA service?
How can you mix that up?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I hate to say I've just got caught out by this site, I only found out when the DVLA returned my sons provisional license application and told me about it! I
Its very mis-leading, the DVLA know about it as does Citizens Advice and the trading standards , so know I am fifty pounds out of pocket and nothing I can do about it
This is the first time I have been caught out by a site like this, its all very well saying you should follow the instructions but I stupidly thought I was and that you could apply on line for a license. Nowhere on the application part does it say its a checking services, very very misleading0 -
Agree it is misleading.
Unfortunately a lot of the adverts on Google are, as is the design and placement, I guess that's what the advertisers pay for.0 -
I guess so, gutting though
I'm ususally so carefull, first time I've been caught out by something like this0 -
There are plenty more sites offering exactly the same concept of a 'Service to the Public' for renewing passports and EHIC cards etc.
As we speak the self-same very clever people are thinking up new ways to get their hands on your hard-earned money.
They are perfectly legal because on their site they clearly? tell folks that they charge but there is a free alternative.
Legal but highly immoral in my opinion.0 -

Really?
REALLY?
Another example of what happens when people don't bother reading what's in front of them.
Assuming you've been had by Driving Licence UK, the same site as the OP, the second sentence, slap bang in the middle at the top of the homepage of the website says:
"Our online service provides a complete checking service and this
service will fill out the form on your behalf and send it to you"
So you'd never get to the application if you read that.0
