Argos refunded? then changed price.

have purchased a bed from Argos for my little one yesterday, all was confirmed and delivery day given. Then today Ive been sent an email to say that it wasn't available and a refund given, went to site and they have plenty in stock, just bumped price up by an extra £10! is there anything you can advise me to do, seems very unfair to me!

Have you contacted them to ask about it? They may be able to offer an explanation or help you out.0

I certainly wouldn't accept that. Phone Argos and ask to speak to a manager.
I would understand the position if there was a massive price difference and they had made a mistake, but for £10 it's very short sighted to upset your customers.0 -

A agree with first 3 posts.
You seem very biased towards customers aren't you? And if anyone disagrees with that or anything in general they all seem to be part of a pack of wolves!!0 -
I thought that if you had paid then you had a contract for the goods. I may be wrong but I know they can change their mind and not let you have it for the initial price if you were enquiring. But if you have actually paid it is a different matter.0

I try to balance a forum where everyone is on the shopkeepers side.
The pack of wolves side of my arguments is where posters all jump on a new member and give them a hard time.
So much nicer to be polite to people.0 -
Troll - Argos do not cancel orders and advise of refunds via email.0

Every single one of us is a consumer, we all go out to shops or shop online. If we didn't do this we would die of starvation! We are all customers! It's just some of us don't try to screw a retailer at every given chance!
We are not biased, we just simply have a sense of logic & an unbiased sense of wrong & right.0 -

Being biased towards consumers is the whole point of MSE in general and the Consumer Rights board in particular.tracymac54321 wrote: »have purchased a bed from Argos for my little one yesterday, all was confirmed and delivery day given. Briefly, if Argos want to cancel your order, refund your money, and then stick the price up by a tenner, they can. You can, of course, complain to Argos about this 'sharp practice'. They may fob you off, or they give you £10, who knows?0
