    And is that whats happened here? No.

    We can't be sure though and for the sake of £10 Argos could lose a good customer. In this instance they should honour their mistake.

    OP said they cancelled the order. Not that they said they'd have to pay another £10 if they wanted to keep their delivery slot.

    They could have bought it again at the higher price.


    This is what I mean about following the law so closely, surely you must admit in this case that it's extremely mean of Argos.

    They could have, but they don't have to. But that isnt what you said. You said getting them to pay the extra to keep their delivery date.

    Mean? No. Bad customer service? Perhaps. Or perhaps just inadequacy in their system/procedures.

    But bad customer service is best suited to the praise/vent/warnings board rather than consumer rights board. Even being morally entitled to something does not mean you actually have any right to it. So admonishing people for sticking to the law on a board where law is absolute, is really quite inane.
