    Hi all,

Thought I'd pop in and say hi :hello:

Bit of an odd morning for me.. I toddled off to work this morning, had to nip out to hand one of my Uni assignment sheets in as my tutor had lost it and they needed it to calculate my marks for the year, anyhoo, I was walking back from Uni enjoying the lovely sunny summery weather when I heard a massive bang followed by a huge cloud of smoke from the next road along. It scared the life out of me!!! I got back to work and we were evacuated 10 mins later (we live in Crewe), there had been an explosion at the chemical factory in the next street - it was huge, I could see fireballs rising though the smoke from my office window  If you switch sky news on it's on there!!!

So am now at a bit of a loss as to what to do with myself!!

Hugs to all who need them, am off to find something to keep me entertained..

    Sarah xx

Ive not had chance to watch the news, I just hope everyone's ok.

    Afternoon all,

DD and I had a lovely day out at Blackpool Sea Life Centre. I had a voucher that gave dd free entry so it saved me £8.50. We then had a walk along the prom, a late lunch then another little walk and 5 minutes in the amusement arcade. DD found 50p someone had left in a change machine. She tried to hand it to one of the staff but they told her just to keep it so our 5 minute visit cost me nothing. :j It was lovely spending this time with her and we get to do it all again tomorrow.

DS is very grumpy at the mo as I was supposed to read his mind and order the game online that he couldn't find cheaper on the high street. First day back at school and I'm sure that XDH didn't make sure he went to bed on time, which would explain the grumpiness.

jovichick when travelling back from Blackpool, century fm kept updating the situation on the chemical explosions in Crewe. I hope you aren't too badly affected by it. It seems quite serious.

mrs mix glad you got the antibiotics. I'm sure you will feel lots better soon.

Off to raid the freezer for ideas for dinner tonight. xx

    Good afternoon!
The weather here has been lovely today. DH was back at w*** but the girls and I are off for another week.:j They've had their friends around to play for most of the day. I made a pizza using the bm for their lunch and they couldn't get enough of it! Tonight we're having tuna past bake with salad and melon for afters.
    Queenie Cinnamon Porridge sounds lovely!
Frugal Hope everything went ok today.

I'm going over the road to see my friend later and we'll probably have a few glasses of wine (we do get dry mouths when we chat so much!).
    Have a good evening.

    I'VE DONE IT!!!!!!

I have unpacked the last 3 boxes from our move, the sewing table is set up and I have checked over the machine and given it a bit of a clean and a drop of oil, its running like a dream.

I found some more stuff to go on ebay, some for the charity shop as well and I have donated 2 cushions to the communal sitting room, fed up with moving them about, the ones in the sitting room are a bit scruffy, so hopefully some new ones will be welcome.

OH did not suffer a relapse after his outburst on the phone for which I am very thankful, he had a quick snooze after lunch.....and helped me carry the broken down boxes to the bin store, good job the bins were emptied.

The plant trough I planted up last week is doing ok, the seating area needs a bit more clearing but it will have to wait for another week.

Lamb and roasties for supper, carrots and cauli, and gravy made with the red wine I marinaded the Lmab in,the smell from the kitchen is lucious.........

    Hello everyone

Big hug to Frugal, I am hoping you can report back with good news soon. Also to Haribo Junkie who had a hospital appointment today. So many peeps having health problems - PP, Mrs Mix (sorry if I've left anyone out) I hope it all goes away very soon.

My day has been one of the less good ones! I hardly slept last night, maybe three hours - too grumpy and tired to even start the thread and feeling really down all day (probably because I was so tired). I was on the till from 9.00am until 3.30pm with one 15 minute break at 10.15am - they "forgot" to send me to lunch at the right time. I was not amused - normally I wouldn't mind but today was incredibly busy and I was not in the best frame of mind. The manager said to me that I could have my lunch at the end of the day, ie go home an hour earlier than normal. Hehe she had forgotten that I was down to do overtime, I didn't remind her and just went home at 4.00pm. They can yap and whine all they like (and they will!) but I just had to get out of there. Even if we were allowed to have a drink of water when on the till it'd be something, but we're not! I was practically spitting sawdust as I was so thirsty.

Otherwise...urm...well, I've got some housework to do, just the usual tidying and what have you. I might even venture into the garden and spray the weeds with some murderous chemical I got from the garden centre. My friend's husband is coming next week to dig it over.

    That's my life...boring, innit!?.....zzzzzzzzz

    Hi Snowy,

I just heard from Haribo and her hospital visit went ok. She has to have more tests but I'm sure she'll tell you all about it when she gets back.

Hugs to everyone with health problems at the moment.

Good Evening everyone, Sorry I haven't had chance to read the thread as yet, but please take my hugs if you are in need. I will read later when I get the children in bed.

Well, I went to the Breast Clinic today, was there for 4 hours, the hospital is under re-development so alot of disruption. I saw a really nice team of doctors/nurses who had a excellent sense of humour along with lots of empathy. The outcome is I had a ultrasound, I'm too young (35) for a mammogram according to the hospital and they talked me through the pictures on the screen, its not a cyst, and there is a line which looks like it could be possibly "feeding" the lump, I had three needles (biosopy) (sp?) and have to go back next Monday for the results and when I went back to see the Consultant he just said "we are awaiting the results next Monday", so I am none the wiser but feel much more in control of the situation today, I really can't thank everyone enough for their good wishes and hugs. Today at the hospital I saw some really horrid things, a number of women with no hair and their face wasn't touching the floor, they were laughing and joking, I have time on my hands as I am a SAHM so depending on the outcome next Monday I am going to see if they need any help at any charity shop in town, we are awash with them, the good news is I have been told not to lift anything heavy for a couple of days because of the bioposy,so no hoovering, I'm going to sit in the garden for the next couple of days and watch my Lupins start to flower.

Enjoy the sunshine, cause if theirs one thing this has taught me is too enjoy the free things in life and I'm sure every member of MSE will agree with that!

Twink - I am really going to have to do the pad thing and keep up with what is going on daily. Read everything today and unfortunately so tired tonight can only remember a few!

PennyP - hope the muscle pain after the jags OK. I do expect it will take time for the treatment to kick in. Thanks for pm - Yes, I will be your GB Darling. Just let me know if you need me! Will try to be GB to anyone else but you can understand I live a busy life!

Kyle - you had a really good sleep last night! Hope all is well with you and how is your mouth?

Frugal - hope you are OK.
Haribo - heard your hospital visit went OK. No doubt you will be in touch. Take care.

Crazyc - so sorry about the money. I have had similar but very minor car problems last two weeks. Lost my car keys and had to use DH's. Searched high and low and remembered last time I used them was two weeks ago on party day. I have totally turned house upside down (but have cleared out stuff as I went!) DH totally gloated when he e-mailed me at work today to say he had found them wedged in yellow pages on shelf in hall below fish tank - where they usually are (top of fish tank I mean!). You will probably have a very frugal week but just hope when it turns up it will be a bonus. Another thing, we locked filing cabinet when went on holiday in May and DH found cheques today I had put there (Over £100!!!) which I had totally forgotten about! Going to bank tomorrow.

Love and hugs to everyone else, sorry to hear about down times, kid's illness etc and glad about good days out!
