Hi, this is the Daily Thread for xx (add date). This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
:hello: Gooooood Morning

Best of luck today, Frugal, will be thinking of you, sending posi vibes your way ((hug))
Lads are back to school today. I shall miss their company and banter.
Nose to the grind stone for me, have some revision to do ready for an exam later in the week ... really couldn't knuckle down to it during the half term
Housework will consist of a 30 minute whip round to the beat of my MP3.
B: Cinnamon porridge with pears
L: Leftover veggie crumble.
Quorn chicken stir fry with basmati rice
Still have another card to make ready for tomorrow and I really must dig three items out of the gift box and wrap them up too ... good job I post on here, I might have forgotten otherwise
Have a good day, one and all, ((hugs)) for those who need/want them

Morning Queenie, Amie, JamieDodger and everyone who follows.
The thread is quiet for this time of morning, I hope that means people are sleeping well
We are just back from a lovely week in Belgium with the kids - blimey, Belgian people seem to live on chocolate, chips and beerDefinitely my kind of place, though I came back craving broccolli and probably half a stone heavier!
Not a lot of time to be online today as we had a huge birthday party for DS1 yesterday, and have a few more of his friends coming over for a birthday tea tomorrow so have lots of cleaning and baking to do, especially with all the washing from holiday too.
Queenie, good luck with the revision. Amie, hugs for work, hope your day today is a bit better. And (((((((hugs)))))))))) for anyone else who needs one today.

Morning Chums ,
busy day here at my house .I have the gardening chap starting my patio this morning.I am losing half of my lawn to some beautiful cream coloured slabs so I won't have quite so much lawn (jungle) to have to worry about mowing. It's going to be around 5 square metres so hopefully by next week I can sit out in the sun with my book and a large G&T and enjoy my garden instead of trying to think of a way to keep the jungle from my back windows . I shall have lots of pots of flowers which will I shall be able to manage instead of loads of beds to weed. Hopefully no more bending for me. It's quite a big job and he will be here until Saturday so I must make sure I have lots of bacon butties available .He's such a nice young chap who has only recently started out on his own in the business of landscaping .He has worked for a company for 6 years ,so he knows what he is doing. My neighbour has known him since he was a little boy so I know he is quite safe.
On Wednesday I have my builder coming to replace my flat-roof on the bathroom .He will be here for two days as well.So Chez JackieO will be chocablock with chaps !!.
On Friday I am off to a posh hotel in London with my pal for a freebie lunch. Her firm whom she worked for, lays on a nice lunch for their pensioners once a year, and her husband has to work so she asked if I wanted to go. Naturally a slap-up meal in a posh hotel was a hard one to turn down so I shall be seeing how the other half lives .:D
Good luck to all sitting exams this week.My eldest grandson is taking his Science GCSE and his I.T. one this week so I know it's quite a stressful time .
Had another nice tea party yesterday with another grandson as it was his 6th birthday. We took the tribe to Larkfield swimming in the afternoon, and had a great time. My DD has two sons with a birthday within two days so it's an expensive time for her .
I made a huge pot of veggie soup yesterday in my SC, so I shall freeze it this morning.
The weather looks like it's going to perk up for a change this week so I am going to treat myself to some nice steamed salmon for lunch today with lots of salad.
<<Hugs >> to those in need and I hope everyone has a good week. I know it's back to work/school for a lot of you this week.My eldest DD has a busy time at the moment she has her school Fete coming up shortly so I must get down to crafting some cards for her .
Well, take care folks and have a good week

Good morning everyone,
Frugal - ((HUGS)) hope all goes ok xxx
PP - good luck with all the jabs xx
Aime - yes, the toms have been planted out, might go and have a chat to them later!!!!
Queenie - i also hate my 2 going back to school, but the summer hols will be here soon!!!
Well, i have a busy day today, although unfortunatly not a big paid one. I have my normal 3 LOs, but also my friends 3 children, as they have a baker day today (our school was the Friday before half term) and she phoned in a panic on Saturday when she realised. I dont charge her for these odd days (very good friend) but will be interesting to see how they get on with the LOs.
I also need to get some cleaning done, my flylady routine has gone completely to pot recently due to the baby, but never mind, it all gets done in the end.
Nothing much else today, hope everyone has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Good morning everyone! Another lovely day here - the nice lady on the radio predicted a *more settled* week ahead. Great as I love to be in the garden, but I have a lot of inside jobs to do. Think I'll spend the morning indoors, and go out, with a clear conscience, later.
Had a great day in York yesterday, saving money courtesy of lil_me  :A
My sister (who's been staying) is a big e-bayer, so got that sorted out, at last. Crazychick - I'm watching you:T
Off to get a cup of tea - have a great day, all.

Morning Everyone
Very nervous about coming into work today owing to the email I got the other day, Still waiting to hear back about that.
Went to a farm shop with Mum on Saturday. Got some lovely meat. Bit pricey, but as a treat it's fine.
Not really sure how I'm feeling within myself. Bit of everything I think
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Morning. School day, so it's back to making packed lunches every morning this week....
Thanks for teh thought's on my OH exam.... It will be good to get that one over.
2 days off for me, and it will be a busy one.. Big clear out I think. I have loads of junk in all my sheds and I am planning a trip to the dump. Then box the good stuff up for a boot sale on Wednesday evening. So hopefully I will make some space and money.
Grass needs cutting real bad, so I am hoping it will dry out enough for that.
Anyway... have a nice dayNO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -
