Good morning guys


We look like we are in for more bad weather as its been hailstoning for the last 15 minutes but has just stopped. Everywhere is white and shiny but think we will get rain in a bit as the sky is full of heavy black clouds.


Red - those bonds look good for the over 65's, wish I was a older and I would have bought them. Sorry your knee is giving you so much trouble.

CW - don't wish yourself older. It comes too quickly anyway - never did believe the saying that the years pass quicker as you age but I do now.


And lots of sport when younger seems to now be causing the problem with my joints.


Weather here is wet & miserable but not as bad as you have. A little bit of sunshine would make us all feel happier, I think. Take care.

Sorry to hear about your knee Red, what op are you waiting for?

Was lovely here earlier, even had the washing out drying, then chucked it down and got really cold. Really can't wait for snow on sun when I'm going out for a run (not) but seem to have applied to something that requires some proper training so have it do it:T

We are all white here again, had lots of hail last night which has frozen and then frost on top, so very slippy out today and freezing cold too.

Morning everyone. Lucky here with the weather just a really heavy frost last night & at the moment the sun is shining.


Kerri I have to have a repair to the meniscus in my knee, which has a complex tear. Luckily will only be a day case but I don't know yet how long the recovery will be - always slower when you're older!


Be careful out in those wintry conditions,

Knee recovery takes time whatever age red. Good news that it shouldn't require a long stay though, at least you'll be back in your own home quickly.

Run went fine this morn, bit chilly to start with, boiling by the end :rotfl: furthest I've ever run, though still got a fair distance to work up to. Did ok though, recovery quick, legs felt fine, chest felt like it might possibly burst :rotfl: kept a steady pace and the same pace I've done at shorter distances, so pleased with that. LOT of work to go though still.

still lots of snow and ice here and freezing cold as well. Roads are quite bad atm too as the gritters haven;t been out yet. It was so bad on Saturday buses got cancelled. Not sure when we will get a thaw as well as the weather forecast said this cold spell will continue.

Good job I have central heating.

Don't envy you CW. Everywhere was white here when I got up but just a really heavy frost but it is already beginning to thaw from the cars.


I feel so sorry for people who can't afford to keep their heating on when it is cold. We changed our tariff to the recent MSE one which hopefully will keep our costs down this winter.

...and here although we had frost last night it had warmed up enough that the car was clear at 6am when I went out.

Good morning everyone

we are still all frozen up here, ice everywhere and very very cold. The weather man says we won;t get any warmer today so are stuck with it for a bit longer. When cars go up our street you can hear the crunch and cracking of the ice even when we are inside the house. lol.
