This week was also a very sad week for me....my little plastic folder that used to be filled with coupons has now been repurposed to hold loose gift tags in my cards and wrapping bag. I shall be pausing for a moment to reflect on the passing of the brief (for me) but frugal age of couponing...:money::)

    Kerri
I got a new coupon folder. It was £2 on amazon with free postage.
I have one side for tesco coupons even if its only magazine ones. Another for asda apg;s. And all the rest in the middle. It works for me hun.

Coupon use might have changed but its not over.

Joined the rest of you and packed away the Christmas decorations yesterday. Just been putting everything back in the loft after reorganising it into smaller boxes rather than the one very large one from before. Will make it easier to get down next year.

Had a surprise - looked in a box up there which I knew contained handwash, shampoo, conditioner & shower gel but couldn't believe there were actually 20 bottles of handwash! Must have been a deal sometime because they are all the same make.

CW hope your car service goes well & isn't too costly. I had a lovely freebie before Christmas from Hyundai. I booked my service on their new online booking site & received a £50 Love to Shop voucher for using it.

It wasn't the Palmolive one was it? Still going through mine.

CW I do use the odd coupon every now and again, but I guess coupled with less time and Lidl opening locally last year, I don't have as much opportunity. Plus sometimes I think I just ended up getting things because they were cheap, not that I really wanted them. I rarely go over to Asda these days which seems to save me money anyway as I pick up less 'stuff'. Going to try and be good with the new year and use up more of what's in the freezer.

Yes Kerri it is the Palmolive - glad I'm not the only one with a stash.

I keep promising myself to use the food stuffed in my freezers. Every time I manage to start clearing, particularly the meat, I find bargains that I just have to buy! It's ridiculous really as there are only 2 of us at home and we don't eat as much as we used to do but old habits are really hard to break.

Car was fine, no problems with it at all.

Raining today and so dark as well, bet it rains all day.

I made a real effort to use what was in my freezer before xmas and got it down a lot. Still got things in it I must use up though so still trying not to overload it again.

Well done CW - will have to try harder.

Sun is trying to come out here after a wet, cold and dark morning but still dark clouds in the sky.

Went down to Mr W today to get my paper - their shelves are really empty - looks as though they are having trouble re-stocking again after Christmas & New Year.

Off to see a preview of Testament of Youth. I have had the book on my shelf for ages and never got round to reading it so it will be interesting to compare the two when I do.

Yup, I do the same thing, then justify it saying that freezers work better when full. I am SURE i need that guinea fowl on xmas eve :o

    Good morning guys

I can't wait for the mornings to get a bit lighter. Its so dark outside atm but its not raining which makes a change.

As the freezer has some room in it I was able to get a few bags of frozen oven chips and french fries from asda, they are reduced atm to 61p a bag, so there are benefits of using things up and clearing a bit of space I suppose.
