Fair play to the OP, if you really want bacon in Spain then you have to take your own. Last time I was there any time I ordered anything containing bacon it was really horrible and gristly, inedible if you'd ordered a bacon sandwich as you had to take it apart yourself and peel the bits off the meat before you could eat it. Yes of course you can buy it in Spain but the quality I've seen isn't anywhere near as good as Tesco value over here.

Having said that, if you're in Spain why not forget the bacon and go for chorizo, far tastier!

my mum always used to take bacon with her when we went away. She'd take that much she was askng if we wanted a bacon sandwich every 10 minutes.

What does get me though is that people always ask if they can get English bacon abroad but insist on Danish bacon when in England ??

Just because I like my bacon sandwich and a nice peice of cheddar does not mean I'm drinking John Smiths and eating chips every night.

We always eat in the local restaurants where poossible and enjoy Spanish/French/Greek ect ect food.

I love spaniosh food and we will be eating out every evening in the local restauarnts. we won't be venturing into any establishemnts selling english meals. However, at home we rarely get the cahnce (or the time) to have our "english" bacon and egg, so it's part of my holiday to have this and I just find the bacon abroad to be more like streaky bacon, very fatty and grisly. I don't have any tattoos, i don't drink beer or wear union jack shorts. I have a professional job with a good salary but I just love bacon sarnies !!!!
