  • A friend of mine took 1 kilo of frozen bacon and then had a 24 hour delay, aparently thier clothes didnt smell too good. Also if you are staying in magaluf go to tom browns, they use english bacon in thier breakfasts im told

    Spanish supermarkets are mostly excellent. The ubiquitous Mercadona stock everything for both Spanish and English tastes, especially in areas where there is a large expat community. Just take a look at the fish counters, and see how cheap a prawn-fest can be! The quality of the produce is far better than supermarkets here, and prices overall much lower. We have friends in the Costa Blanca who reckon that their shopping bill is the same number of euros there as it was in pounds here. And they eat far better too now!

    I find Spanish Nescafe to be far superior to the stuff sold in the UK and always ask for some to be brought back.

    That applies from outside the EU - unless there are temporary emergency restrictions it should be OK within the EU.
