Who Does/Does Not Accept Amex?

I was referring to an issue that they have now fixed (there were a lot of discussion threads about UK issues with registering Amex). I couldn't even add my Amex to my Google Wallet but I've tried it again today and it has let me add it.
Not sure on dollar only purchases as I can now purchase from ebuyer in GBP but perhaps they convert to USD first

Thanks, to see what would happen, I tried to select my newly added Amex on ebuyer Google checkout and it adds something like "not valid" to the number and then disables the next button0 -
You do get some restaurants that don't accept Amex, can be embarrassing0

The reason why some retailers don't accept AMEX is due to the charges that AMEX charges the retailer, they are generally much higher than MC or Visa0
