Costco accept AMEX. I use a platinum cash back card there and since November last year have earned (see below).
Cashback
Cashback Balance £1,412.36
If you are a big spender (Business) do not go for the Costco Amex card as the max is only £300 per year.
I am in my anniversary month so now get 2.5% cash back for a month so reduce spending for stock purchases for at least the previous month then buy plenty in anniversary month.
Pay off as you spend and you can purchase £100's of £1000's with a credit limit as low as £15K0 -
One other thing to note. AMEX do not give 1.25% at costco on platinum cashback card. Actually works out at approx .67%.0

I would have thought this is a very broad question?0

Seetickets don't
Ticketmaster do0 -
ebuyer definitely does not accept Amex (order placed last week) and you can't use Google Wallet with them either as Google Wallet doesn't recognise the Amex card number as a valid number
I've added my AMEX to Google Wallet but the sites can still specify whether to accept it not - it's not as transparent as PayPal.0 -

I think it depends on the type of Amex. I wasn't even able to add my PG Amex to Google Wallet because it had the "wrong" number of digits0 -

I was referring to an issue that they have now fixed (there were a lot of discussion threads about UK issues with registering Amex). I couldn't even add my Amex to my Google Wallet but I've tried it again today and it has let me add it.
Not sure on dollar only purchases as I can now purchase from ebuyer in GBP but perhaps they convert to USD first0 -
The only "big" retailer I've come across recently that rejected it was the Post Office, when I tried to pay for a parcel on it. Inconvenient.
One or two places make you sign a receipt the old-fashioned way, rather than use a PIN, but that's not all that common.0 -

It depends on the post office as well. My local one is happy to accept an Amex and yes one of the tills at my local sainsburys has to be swiped through.
And a local Chinese manually imprints my Amex lol! Hadn't seen one them in years.0
