Did that and the baxxxtard is STILL there.Right how do i wipe the pc and start again.I have all the relevant discs and would this get rid ?

It certanly would help, but you need to know exactly what you're doing. This is an good installation guide for XP, and it contains links to a lot of other relevant stuff, including links to two other popular installation guides. Take a look and decide if you want to go down that route.

Yep I think thats what i will do.I bought the pc from pc world.I am still wondering how this bug got on the pc as i have plenty of protection.

Before you go to PC world, you can fix this yourself. The program is being loaded by windows, using one of the locations in the start menu or registry to run and load the DLLs. Basically, these spyware programs hack your machine all the time, so that any changes are undone

Get a tool like Winpatrol (which I use) or the Microsoft anti-spyware program (which is still in bet-testing) and look at what Windows is loading. Winpatrol also allows you to disable programs, in case you delete the wrong ones.

You say you are well-protected, but how often do you update your AV? Your computer is at risk from any viruses released since you last updated. Do you have programs running to monitor your PC for changes, like winpatrol or MS Anti-Spyware or Spybot S+D?
