How to I Remove People OnPage?

Follow these simple instructions to uninstall POP! and remove it completely from your computer.

    1. Click the Start button on the lower left hand corner of your computer.
    2. Select and click "Control Panel" from the Start menu.
    3. When the Control Panel window opens, double-click on "Add or Remove Programs".
    4. Find POP! in the alphabetized list of all programs on your computer. It may take a few moments for this list to display.
    5. Click POP! to select it.
    6. Click the POP! Change/Remove button.
    7. Click Yes in the window that opens asking you to confirm that you want to uninstall POP!
    8. Restart your computer to complete the uninstallation process.

If you registered with People OnPage, you'll need to unregister before removing People OnPage.

To unregister, sign in to POP! with the email address and password of the profile you are unregistering. Click the Controls button on the POPBAR and choose My Account from the menu that displays. When the My Account page opens, click the Registration Information link. When the Change Registration page opens, click the Unregister from POP! link. When the Unregistration page opens, enter your email address and password and choose whether you want to unregister from POP! Dating or from POP! Completely, then click the Unregister button.

Worth a try, sounds too simple to be true..
  • I also now tried to restore to another date. This is the 4th attempt and each time when the pc restarts it says unable to restore to the point requested.
I had the same problem before I ended up reformatting my HDD. If you start running AV, and spyware removal tools to clear a positive threat you have identified, you need to disable the restore option. Otherwise the system will look for all the files you've just deleted when trying to restore. If it can't find them, the restore fails. Just don't forget to switch it back on.

AVG antivirus will only find things that have already got onto your computer. The firewall is the preventative measure, but often we invite things on past the firewall when we download/open attachments. If you look at FAQ's, the "Internet Security...." link has lots of info including how to prevent stuff getting there in the first place.
