  • Actually DS is pretty good at sleeping through the night (even if I have jinxed it now!), he had a dose of Calpol before bed anyway, so that will obviously help :o The 'problem' I have with him is that he doesn't let us know hwen he is ill.... his keyworker said that he has been fine all day, and only realised there was something wrong when she picked him up to put him in his chair for lucnh...... he still ate all his lunch, plus he had a snack, and milk when I got him home. Put him to bed, he slept for 3 hours, then when he woke up, he just wanted to play!
He doesn't cry, he face doesn't go red, he just gets on with his day to day rountine then all of a sudden his temp will spike....
I had to take him to the drs a few weeks ago as his temp spiked and wouldn't go down, and she discovered he had an ear infection  Again, he showed no signs at all, he'd been absolutely fine until his temp spiked! Will have to keep an eye on him....

  • Sarah (hugs) hope your ds gets better. Take care of yourself too :A
  • Thanks Hun..... just a little stressed because DS is ill, I'm gonna be short a days pay, maybe more if I don't end up going back today...... I hate it when he is ill, because he can't tell me whats wrong.... all he seems to want to do is sleep which is worrying me, and he hasn't eaten properly for two days (today he's even bringing back up the water!)

aw poor Connor. I generally find if my kids have been ill and barely eaten, as soon as theyve recovered they eat twice as much to make up for it.
Not much fun for you having to take time off to look after him, espeialy when the budget takes a battering. Can you compensate by using his extended nap times to put more on ebay, play bingo, MB etc to make more money while you're stuck at home?!
  • Think I'm gonna have to.... OH has said that once we've sorted out the Drs (waiting for the Duty Dr to call me back) he will get up with him so I can go to work.....

  • Awww sarah I hope you get him in at the docs. I know your pay is a lot to lose but try not to worry. Your ds health is more important than work/debt. I think he deffo needs to see a doctor if he is bringing up water, poor soul :A
  • Couldn't agree more! Called the surgery and the Duty Dr is going to call me before I take him in (if I need to at all!) OH has said he will get up with him once the Drs stuff is sorted, so I might be able to get a few hours in..... then OH will probably try to get a few extra hours in tomorrow night to make up for it.... As long as my baby boy is ok, thats what I'm most worried about - its not like him not to eat.......

Just got off the phone with the Dr, and we have an appt for 1610......
