Just come back from my Dad's where we had yummy roast chicken dinner! I am stuffed to the gills now, but I have also just realised exactly how much weight I have put on since giving birth over a year ago..... I know this is normal, but I am not happy, so I need to do something about it - and fast! I think I'll be pretty rubbish at dieting, so need to find ways to fit exercise into my day..... Its not like I'm a slob or anything, but I'm clearly not doing enough, and eating too much, otherwise I wouldn't be so lumpy right now! :(

I am also in a bit of a quandry over my birthday.... OH wants to go out on Sat and also wants me to give him some money so he can buy me another present:confused:), but I don't need another present, and I'm not particularly bothered about going out on Saturday either, mainly because I'm not big into celebrating my birthday, but also because I don't want to spend all that money! Trouble is I don't know how to tell him without hurting his feelings or causing a massive arguement.... I might just suggest to him that I would much rather spend the night at home with him and he can cook me a nice meal or something.... We hardly get to spend any time alone together anymore as he is either at work, asleep, out playing snooker/Aunt Sally or we have DS with us. We shall see.... I have set my weekly spends budget at £100 just in case.....

Can't stop looking at all the stuff I have listed on Ebay, even though I know its not gonna sell any quicker if I do look! Have two more things that I need to get on before the end of tonight.....

That is all for now, not much to tell..... Better go and finish sorting out he laundry now the tumble dryer has stopped again.

A meal at home and rent a film to watch together? Much cheaper than going out. My parents did a night in for Valentines day - steak dinner, cheesecake for desert, wine, chocolate and a bottle of Tia Maria for £25! Being able to get as piddled as you like and pass out on the sofa: priceless :D

  • I agree with gem, try and get the little one taken care of and have a night on teh sofa. A few movies a bit of fun and even a takeaway... much cheaper :D
  • Might tempt him with a takeaway - very little washing up to be done afterwards! :D

  • The madness has begun!!! I was watching tv just now (The Monarchy on Sky+.... I'm actually quite liking the Queen!) when I suddenly decided that I was gonna do some crunches a la Snaggles..... I managed 50 before I nearly puked! Lesson for the day is don't do crunches after you've just eaten! I also text OH to say that I might start jogging..... when I'm gonna find the time/energy to do that I'll never know! I will keep up with the crunches tho....
Also going to order a book to read, about nutrition and PCOS, hoepfully that will make a difference too...

  • Had an interesting up and down day today..... had to pick DS up from nursery, as his temp was sky high again, even after two lots of Calpol.... poor little mite has got back teeth coming, two at the top and one at the bottom, and they have been giving him some grief. The trouble is that he doesn't 'act' like hes teething - not crying, or red face, just lots of dribble and a high temp.
OH had a huge go at me because a) I left my phone at home and the nursery kept phoning the house, even though they have my work number (he had just come off the night shift), and b) I walked to work today and he said that I couldn't possibley pick DS up in the rain.... !!!!!! do u think the rain cover on the pushchair is for??? Decoration???
Got DS home and put him to sleep (he went out like a light) the OH decided to ask me why I had 'stolen' all his money again this month, and why he pays for more of the bills than I do..... I tried to explain thats his monthly bills are more because he pays maintenance for his DS1, he pays for Sky (he wanted it!) and his phone bill is always huge. He didn't believe me, so then asked me to tell him how much everything was.... I think he must have realised I was right because he soon backed down!!! He did tell me off for taking money from his account at the start of the month for food etc, and that I should put it on my CC and he would pay back half.... errr let me think about that for a second..... NO!!! Do I have 'thick as s**t' written on my forehead!?! If he thinks I am buying food on the CC in the hope that he will pay me half back, he's got another think coming!
I said I would stop taking money out of his account at the beginning of the month for food, no problem, but when u have no money left after week 2, do not expect me to buy you beer, and you will be eating 100% Basics food..... he soon shut up with that one too!
He also thinks I stockpile money without him knowing, which I do, but I don't admit to it! The budgets are inflated/rounded up to the nearest £5, because then when I have to give him money at the end of the onth, its his I'm giving him back, rather than my own.....
I know that sounds really selfish, and my sig says 'dealing with *our* debts' but I would stake my life on the fact that if the shoe were on the other foot, NO WAY would I be getting money from him at the end of the month!!!
I hate moaning about OH (no really, I do) but he justs frustrates and  me so much!!! He just does not understand what I am trying to and why (all I want is a house of our own!)... he just wants to keep up with all his mates who seem to think he is loaded (thats the impression he likes to give!)

Anyway, thats MORE than enough text wasted on him!....

Spent £3 at work today, but managed to convice OH that we are only gonna go out for an Indian on Saturday...... will keep working on him, as he said the only reason he didn't wanna cook for me was that he would have to do the washing up afterwards!
Bl00dy CC statement still hasn't been generated! Don't you know its the 10th today and you are a day late!?! Just wanna get it paid, and buried.... My cards are all cut except one, and OH's CC is cut up, and they are all hidden in the sofa in a purse.... OH, if you ever take the time/have the interest to read this thread, you will discover the hiding place - don't expect that to happen in a hurry!

    Done..... for now!

sorry Sarah but that made me laugh! he's just having an off day about the money though - we all do from time to time.

Hope the wee guy is ok and doesn't wake you up at night while he's teething. it almost makes me cry the way DS rips them out of his mouth though as soon as they are wobbly after the pain we both went through with the teething!:D
