Land Registry

I wonder if someone can help me? The oath is sworn and we should get the grant of probate very soon on my MIL's estate and next job is to register the house into my husband's name as we are keeping it for a while.
My husband's uncle is the executor (although I am doing the legwork). For form ID1 from the land registry - does he provide his identity? I guess I am just needing to know the process for this. I believe I am to fill in forms AP1 and AS1 (or the uncle as executor), then provide ID1. Does this get completed by the person registering (ie the executor) or the person who will own the house (the beneficiary)? Does that make sense? Thank you.

Woops that won't work

Both will need to provide an ID1.

awpvicki - apologies for being late to this thread
loubel has kindly provided the link to our online guide and the key information is in section 2. The final paragraph of the section under the heading Exceptions is probably relevant to you“Official Company Representative

Thank you both. So, what I read is that the executor does not need to provide the identity because he has already obtained probate and confirmed his identity to do so. The only ID required is for my husband who is the beneficiary?0
-
Correct - the option to request additional information/evidence always exists as until an application is submitted we are dealing with, from our perspective at least, a hypothetical situation.“Official Company Representative

I'm near to getting probate on a relative's estate. Their home has been left to an individual. This person is going to pass on the property to one of their children (money may or may not change hands - I don't know). Am I best advised to transfer the property to the original intended beneficiary and let them deal with it or can it be transfered directly to the eventual recipient?0

It would probably make more sense tax wise to create a deed of family arrangement ("instrument of variation") and change the will to skip the generation.
Money is not meant to change hands in this situation and as the house has been left to only one beneficiary only that beneficiary needs to get involved.0 -
Hmm interesting!
There may be some money changing hands as there is more than one offspring. I shall have to ask questions.0
