Jobless Mother of 11 having a custom house built by Council

Just wondering what peoples' views on this is. I have read it and felt a bit confused because with the benefit cap coming in her benefits will be restricted to £500 per week for the household so surely if she does not get a job she will probably loose all her housing benefit so how will she pay the rent?

Quote from paper - Daily Mail...

Heather Frost, 37, dubbed the 'Benefits Queen' because she has never worked in her life, is just weeks away from moving into the six-bedroom property.
She provoked a public outcry earlier this year when it was revealed she was being given the home near Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire after complaining about her current 'nightmare' living arrangements with her massive brood.

She and her family currently live in two houses in Churchdown, Gloucestershire, which have been knocked through to make one home.
The idyllic rural home which Ms Frost is set to get the keys to has been described as an eco-mansion designed to reduce energy and water consumption and let in as much natural light as possible.

It is believed the mother of 11 - who is now unable to have children after she suffered cervical cancer - pockets an estimated £30,000 in state handouts each year. The average UK wage is £26,500.
In the past she has admitted to owning a horse, which is kept at a local paddock, and even buying her partner flying lessons.

Matthew Sinclair, chief executive of the TaxPayers’ Alliance, said benefits should provide a safety net, and not be an alternative to work.
A spokesman for Tewkesbury council said: 'The council has a number of housing developments planned for the future, which will have a range of properties to meet the needs of families.'

The Daily Mail are really ramping it up at the moment, they love to get everyone riled up. They are twiddling their fingers until Kate's baby comes along but I must be on a permanent ban list as none of my comments get published. What I find more shocking is that Kerry Katona, face of "Cash Lady" has gone bankrupt for the second time in six years.

Whilst the house looks like something from Grand Designs, the woman looks like a candidate for the Jeremy Kyle show with her one tooth. I am perhaps being rather nasty but can't have any sympathy for a woman who has terrorised a previous neighbour, an old lady, for years. Somehow, I believe her story. If the story is true she deserves to be evicted and her children put into care. This would not be a bad thing. They need a better role model than her.

The woman said in the Daybreak interview that she is thinking about not moving in. Well, I hope she doesn't because she doesn't deserve a house like that and it is an insult to all the hardworking people in this country who cannot afford to get on the property ladder and to those who scrimp and save for a deposit to buy the most basic property.

It just makes me feel very angry. What on earth are the council thinking of? It is total madness. They should sell the house and use the money to build some houses for homeless people.

Because its not possible to forcibly sterilise people, as lovely as that would be :)

I have a friend who is my age (26). She has number 8 on the way (one or two sets of twins I think). She thinks because she and her partner work no-one should be critical. Well they don't earn enough to be exempt from CB so they are obviously raking it in via CB& CTC.

Personally I think the lack of self control is astonishing!

The lefties have gotten people so "riled up" about the DM that anyone who dares quotes anything from it will be either

    a) ignored

    b) berated for even daring to read the "daily fail" and duly abused for it.
