If the banking ever goes tits up then there is a career as a comedian with your name on it :rotfl:

But seriously - with people like you working in banking, the reasons for the banking crisis are becoming crystal clear.

Also just to point out, I was stacking shelves today - even Store Managers don't find that task to be below them. I hope belittling shelf stackers and checkout workers made you feel better. I bet shelf stackers and checkout workers and more capable than yourself at dealing with their finances.

Makes me wish I hadn't stood up for the OP now.
    Oh, you wee bazza!
  • Wy don't you call the cc company up and ask for the interest back because you made a mistake, see how far you get after they stop laughing.

If £1000 didn't cause any real pain, they why did you not have the original amount sitting in a savings account earning minimal interest with a transfer set up for the date the deal ended? If you did that when you first used the card then you would have got the date right!

Apparently I wasn't the only one who found the OP's remarks... unhelpful.

And I'm still at a loss to understand why s/he should expect any recompense from the lender. If they had lied or made a mistake, then they should, but this is not what appears to have happened.

I went to Tesco earlier and to my astonishment they tried to charge me for the goods I wanted at the checkout. Dirty horrible money grabbers. I didnt read the price tags, they should have spelled it out to me and warned me. How was I to know.
What is the world coming to?
You lot are nasty for telling me i'm silly.

Sorry to go off topic, but you are not alone.

Almost every time I go to the supermarket, I seem to be stuck behind someone to whom it is a complete surprise that they have to pay for the goods on offer. At least I assume that's the case, because its only when the cashier asks them for money that they start rummaging around trying to find their purse/wallet.

I had written that if HAD made a similar mistake then I would not have posted on here about it - it would make me a laughing stock would it not?

    Hoover me up Scotty!!!

For those who made useful replies, thank you. no doubt, a mistake lesson learned.

For those smug !!!!! who have made silly, self-righteous smug responses, go screw yourselves. Pathetic! no doubt you guys never made a single mistake in your lives right?

I've made a few, but I've not then expected someone else to compensate me for them. It's you trying to blame other people for your own ineptitude that's raising people's ire.

It's not the posters on here, or the bank that you should be angry with, so please try to be more polite to the people who are offering you good advice here.
