I don't see why you can't share but do be aware that you have to take them for some time before you go, while you are there and also for some time when you get back. I think, but don't quote me on it, it was taking them for 2 days before going and then a week on your return.0

Hi Steve, first time on this so hopefully ok. Best price around is from Super Drug pharmacies at £2.10 (with no post or packing if you visit obviously).0

travelquestion wrote: »Hi all,
There are 2 of us travelling to a malaria affected area for a period of 5 days. At Lloyds Pharmacy online, Malarone is £59.99 for a weeks worth, or £75 for 2 weeks worth.
Are the tablets a course of tablets, ie we would have to order a weeks 'course' each at a cost of £120, or canI order 2 weeks worth for me which we then share and save £45?
Any help would be much appreciated.
A supply for a week's holiday is NOT the same as a week's supply.
Malarone for one person for a 2 week holiday is (2 tablets before trip + 14 tablets during trip + 7 tablets when home) = 23 tablets. That is how many you get if you just buy their "two week trip" option.
However, for a weeks holiday you each need (2 tablets before trip + 7 tablets during trip + 7 tablets when home) = 16 tablets. Thats how many you get if you buy their "one week trip" option.
So if you buy a "two week trip" option you will not have enough tablets for both of you for a one week trip.:A If saving money is wrong, I don't want to be right. William Shatner

I would recommend xpresspharmacy.co.uk. I paid £44 for 19 tablets and this included the cost of the prescription and recorded delivery. They even provided a prepaid first class envelope for the prescription. I was kept up to date about progress (reminder to send prescription, prescription received and tablets sent) so had no worries about buying on line. A little more expensive than what has been quoted but fully inclusive and the prices of other suppliers do seem to have changed from earlier posts.0
