Next summer sale *UPDATED*

Very quiet this morning - was pleasantly surprised! I thought it would be heaving.
I got there at 3.15 and about 15 already queuing. When I got to the rails was waiting for the rush but it never came!

I got to my local store at 4.50am - but it's a small store so I got away with it, not too many people ahead of me. They didn't have the things I went for but I got myself 4 tops, 2 pairs of jeans and a photo aperture so I was fairly happy

I have just been into town and thought I would pop into next and see what was left, ended up spending £30 on t shirts for my daughters even though I have already spent over £200 in the VIP sale, there was quite a lot left but no shorts or swim wear ( I wanted shorts as only got one pair in the VIP sale ), seems all the summery clothes had gone, loads of jeans and long sleeved tops left.

Also just checked my account, 2 of my items have left the warehouse but still says delivery for the 19th, I then have quite a few items that do not have a delivery date on them, I am hoping these are on their way as they are at the bottom of my orders after the items that have been delivered ( from the new catalogue ). I got a email back from customers services after complaining about the delivery times and was told these dates are the latest date the items will be delivered, they are doing their best to get orders out as fast as they can but so entires its tricky as they need to collect stock from 2 different warehouses.

I think VIP slots may be a con..... I had a slot but there wasn't a lot of great stuff for my little boy some didn't purchase anything online. I've looked again today online now it's open to everyone and there is more and better stuff (is this a cunning ploy of next to get rid of harder to sell items?).

Went into my local store today at about 9:30 loads left. Picked up lots of cute tshirts for my little boy for 3-4 quid each. No shorts for little ones but got some jeans! Also got some tshirts for my hubby (let's hope he likes) and a top for me. Had a £10 voucher so didn't cost me too much either yay!

I went to the sale around 8am today and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of stuff left and also how few people were in the store. I was even more surprised when I got home and the courier delivered 4 big parcels from the VIP sale. I have just been through everything and noticed that the exact same pair of trousers cost £10 in store and £14 from the VIP sale.

I think that I will email Next and ask them why this is the case as I wil be sending the online pair back if they want to charge me extra for them. If they were exactly the same price then I would keep them both as you can never have too many pairs of work trousers.

Has anyone else noticed the price discrepancy between in store and online and is it worth complaining?

Was back home by 6am this morn even with a 28 mile round trip. Big crowd but definitely less stock than usual...no maxi dresses or swimwear. Bought 2 top, jeans and sandals. Now to wait for the updates for the stuff I really wanted.

A couple of the items I ordered on Wednesday arrived today Its like Christmas LOL!

I received the first batch from my order today. I'm very pleased except for work trousers I bought for my partner.

The item number is 795-320. When I put it into the quickshop now and select any size it comes up as "plain front trousers" and a picture comes up too. The order confirmation sent to my email said "berry trousers". Sure enough they've arrived and are berry coloured. But nothing suggests they are this colour on the next website. They look navy/black. Dp is not convinced he can carry them off and so will have to return I think..I'm so cross!!:mad:
