iPad 3 (3rd generation) WIFI + 4G

Do you have a link to this statement
Kinda, Apple's page (at the bottom) showing 4G on the 3rd gen only works in USA and Canada, and an article saying they dropped the 4G name in the UK (and other countries).0 -
Rather worryingly, I phoned up EE (currently the UK's only 4G provider) and said I have a ipad3 WIFI + 4G and will it work with EE's 4GEE and initially the girl in their call centre said it would. I could have just taken her word for it and signed up there and then, but armed with the knowledge I have I got drilled deeper and lo and behold it doesn't because of the frequencies.
Good to know the mobile operators train their staff so well. She was a perfectly nice girl but she didn't seem to know much about the service she is selling.0 -
Our friendly Apple are in the news again for price fixing (what a surprise!) http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-232599350

But you don't have an iPad 3 WiFi + 4G, you have a "new iPad" WiFi + Cellular0 -
With the greatest of respect MamaMoo I think I know what I've got! Please re-read my regional post!0

As you are the one bringing the claim you will need evidence that they have mis-sold you the iPad, so far you have no actual evidence only that you think they are in the wrong, that wont stand up in court there has to be proof. You can't claim it as a faulty item as a) it's not faulty and b) you'd need an engineers report proving the fault that's not there. Your word against theirs is not good enough, they will look at the balance of probabilities and at the results of any previous cases for the same claim. So far there is no evidence that anyone has won in the UK for the same claim as it would open the floodgates for everyone.
The receipt and packaging is proof enough. Does it work with 4G in the Uk?
All this is very presumptive of you. Remind me who you work for. Not ashamed I hope.0 -
lxworld.

I've never said who I work for so there is no reminding to be done. As I am a member here as an individual and not as a company representative I do not make any posts on their behalf. You are now being very presumptive that I work for the company you are arguing with just because I have chosen to agree with them and not you.
I work in retail for a family run business (not my family) who started out as a solely B2B retailer for office furniture but over the years as the market has changed they have expanded to nine sites and now also retail to consumers and do less office furniture and more IT and IT related equipment. I personally work predominately in the IT support department working mostly with server management for businesses but do also repair PCs and provide tech support along with regularly working in the domestic customer service department. I can assure you I am not working for Apple or Western Computers. Until your post on here I had never even heard of Western computers although I do regularly deal with, repair and sell Apple products.
I don't see how I am being presumptive, I have based my responses on your replies and the information you have given, where I don't know the scenario I have given a few possible outcomes/scenarios to try and be as helpful as possible without all the facts. You may not like my answers but it doesn't make them wrong.
The receipt and packaging will not be enough proof as they were from before any type of 4g was in the UK, and they relate to the then international standard for 4g. The UK still doesn't have a proper 4g standard but instead has LTE, just because we all call it 4g it isn't. This has all been explained to you in previous posts but you don't want to believe it.0 -

Unfortunately it is one of the common accusations some people make on internet forums when someone posts something they do not like or that does not agree with their point of view, constructive advice or debate is something they appear incapable of accepting.0
