Three One Plan from £15pm (UNL Data + Tethering)

The responses and link still don't answer my question 100%. The link, and other official Three statements, only states you can move to 4G at no extra cost. If this is financial cost then what is to stop Three from offering The One 4G tariff matching the price of their 3G tariff with a cap of say 1-2GB? "It still costs the same and you get 4G just like we said".
Unless you can provide a link that clearly shows the sentence "customers will be able to keep their unlimited data plan, at no extra cost, when 4G is launched" or something similar I will still be skeptical. They may infact do as you've said at launch but at the moment it seems like a bit of an assumption.
There is an article in the FT which confirms what you want to know. I'll try and find it. In the mean time here is the official press release- http://www.threemediacentre.co.uk/Home-Page-Carousel/777/Three-to-offer-latest-technology-as-standard-with-no-price-premium
Also i am 100% certain that the unlimited aspect of the tariff on both 3G and 4G will be carrying over after Q4 2013 when 4G officially launches. I've been told this by numerous people who actually design the network and work for Erricson, MBNL and Three.
To manage the obvious increase in traffic Three are going to be using a strict traffic management policy that will slow down p2p and tethering and peak times. The tethering slow down is location, mast and user dependant (basically heavy use of tethering). Data on the handset will not have a traffic management policy applied (apart from p2p).
You can read more in this post from DS i posted- http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showpost.php?p=66768811&postcount=29
I know this is just my word but i'm 100% sure what i've said is right.
But i agree. The one month option is way better. 24m contracts suck (unless you get an absolute deal).
FOUND IT:Three said that “unlike some other UK mobile operators” it will be available across all price plans without customers needing to pay a premium fee to upgrade.
Dave Dyson, Three UK chief executive, told the Financial Times that this would include the group’s unlimited data packages. Mr Dyson said the LTE services would be a more efficient way to transmit data over its network.
“We don’t want to limit ultrafast services to a select few based on a premium price,” he said. “All of the mobile operators have to make a decision about how they charge customers for the emerging technology. The price of a gigabyte of data will decrease [with 4G], not increase, and we are pricing it with this in mind, though you won’t see us necessarily dropping our prices.”

no sign of this on the website yet?0

Nope, no need when you write the true facts

(And leave the "How to be sarcastic" book at home)
Haha no worries.
I have to admit i'm pretty shocked by this deal. It's unbelievable value, and if Quidco/TCB rates are similar to what they were before then this could work out deal of the year really.0 -

Wonder why the Ultimate Internet 600 tariff doesn't have a price, that might be a good one to go for.0

its been killed off by three. thats why0

Everyone is getting way too angry here. Everyone knows Three doesn't have a 4G network at present, but at the same time, by pointing it out we're splitting hairs, as we all know it's coming.
Three have said they won't charge extra for 4G, it'll be a free upgrade for everyone with a compatible device. Therefore, the £15/£18 plans discussed here do include 4G from time of launch.
As for Ultrafast, that's a marketing term, not technical. Yes, right now it refers to their DC-HSPA network, but LTE will also be branded as part of the Ultrafast network, all under one umbrella.
What Three are doing is clever, as rather than shouting about this new service in a select few places and charging premium prices like other networks are they're shouting about a resilient 3G network capable of churning out generally better speeds than the competition in non 4G areas, but if you so happen to find yourself in one of these areas where frankly all operators have 4G you'll benefit from it too.
What they've said is they'll give 4G as a free upgrade, existing customers should be safe, what they've not said is whether tariff prices will change when 4G launches for new customers.
I today picked up my £18/month sim, better than what T-mo give me and I look forward to Three's 4G

from the previous post to be safe, if 3 is launching 4g in q4 which could be october or after this year, then it may be worth picking up a sim in sept.
That means you will be classed as an existing customer. i dont want to commit yet as my voda is over in Jan but I dont want to miss out on three 4g promise.
Also there is a lack of cheap LTE phones put there, hoping nexus 5 will be LTE and cheap compared to s4 etc.
Nexus 4 is good but the back glass shatters very easily0
