Kids are driving me mad and it's only the first day of summer holidays. I hope they settle soon or I may go live in the pig house.

Excellent.. I could do with an extra pair of hands!

Ooh.. Moomin had a good day, came last in the egg and spoon race.. so we decided she needed a sticker for being last.. it is an art! and she at least took part which on her first day is a big accomplishment. She has found a friend.. Hazel.. same name as her cat.. So I said I hope this Hazel has 2 eyes and 2 legs!! ( our Hazel has 1 eye and 4 legs!) which made her giggle..

I did observe this morning though, there are a lot of very large children at the school.. and all the teachers bar 2 or 3 are rather large too.. we decided it is because the dinners are so nice they all have 5 helpings!

It appears she had a good day and she was happy enough when she came out though she did say she was not answering any more questions because she was tired... so I asked if she wanted to go to bed when she got in and she glared at me lol.

virgin wasnt playing yesterday we had no tinternet all day, but in fairness when i got someone cleverer than me to check it was out in our area and was expected to me back on at approx 7.45. it was back just after 8pm

I've just spent 50 minutes on the phone with a very helpful gentleman called Sohail, and we couldn't get my system to repeat an intermittent fault. The minute he logged off - it did it again. I'm tearing my hair out here. Anyone else having problems?
    Better is good enough.

  • I don't know, I pop off here for a couple of hours and all chaos lets loose - congratulations on your troll, bossy - where can I get one?

Lamewolf - I've never played Skyrim, but OH and the kids do. I love the music on there; it's so soothing and peaceful.

Well done, Moomin - what a fabulous start!

Cupboards are bare, but I reckon I can just about stretch to eggs/beans/cheese on toast. Not for all 4 of us, there's only enough cheese for 1, so we will have to compromise. :)

Went to collect DD at High School today as her primary school are taking part in a music and dance festival all week, along with the other 4 outlying village schools, plus all the High School and Sixth Formers. She was part of a steel band group. It's amazing how they grasp things. They arrived at 1.30, never having played steel drums before, and played to an audience at 3.15 - absolutely brilliant!

Have dug out loads of props for Theatre Club and washed them. Just have to make dinner, shower, go over my lines and be at technical rehearsal for 7.15. Best get a lick on .......

    Catch you all later.

Great start for moomin, pigpen! Lovely to find a friend straight away.

Thanks TMD, I'm quite proud really ;)

Home made carrot and coriander soup for tea, DD has had a tiny square of toast :( she was a real grump when I woke her to go get her brother, but was fine once back in the pushchair.

I'm going to have 10 mins picking up toys with her, then its pj time for both!

Thank you so much for the lists. I'm ashamed to say I've been a lazy mare today and was distracted by the tennis! Having said that, the kitchen, lounge and bathroom look soooo much better thanks to last week's exertions before the visitors descended. I need to remember that things are so much more manageable (and my MH is a lot better) when I'm doing something every day - even if it's just a little. I'm also not looking forward to the fact that some time in the next few months we're going to have to turn the room of doom into a nursery... it's currently waist deep with all sorts of useless tat, clothes and other people's belongings that have migrated to my house :o

I plan to spend this evening washing and ironing work / casual clothes for DH and myself for the week, as well as filling up the dishwasher and taking the bins out. I've managed to write and send a couple of letters and emails which I've been putting off for a while, but there still seems to be a constantly-expanding pile of paperwork which needs to be sorted through, responded to and filed. I'm trying to not let things get on top of me, but have been very weepy and low for the last few days... not sure if it's my old friend the BD or just hormones :o
