Hi there and 'white rabbits' for the 1st of July - where has the year gone and when will we get summer?

In again this week and we had to get up and vac early today as visitor coming and the cats had made a right old mess with a stuffed toy! Did a S&S round and we are not so bad. This week I intend to do an area each day as we leave very early Fri morning for a four day break in France - hurrah - but also boo, as I will miss the tennis finals! I didn't stop yesterday and did holiday paperwork, sorted all of spare bedroom wardrobes and drawers out, cleaned bathroom, cleaned and sorted kitchen storage cupboards and damp-dusted skirting boards. OH sorted his wardrobe and tidied some of the garden.

Good wishes to everyone, Happy Birthday to Bossy for yesterday - I loved the tale about your MIL and Facebook!! I hope your DD is soon better.

Dancemum - what a lovely pic and a handsome young man! You must be very proud.

Bonnie - we've been watching the 70s series - Nearest and Dearest (has he been?)! It is SO funny!! Some of those series are much better than 'modern' comedy - I sound like my dad now!

Good health vibes to all those under the weather - must go as visitor here and I have work later. Sorry if I've missed anyone - but thank you Dusty and Natty for the lists.

Get flying - and come on Tim!!! R x

    Morning all  (just)

What a busy morning! Can't hoover ANY floors as they all have something on them GRRRRRR! I've spent an hour just rehoming things, pegging out washing, our bed stripped and washer on. Phoned up for a prescription, School run, taken OH to work. Kitchen swept and tidied, pots done too, dining table cleared.

Electricity man hasn't rang yet - he said between 10.30 and 12 - we'll see - I may have to chase it up. Off to put fresh bedding on, fold washing and hoover upstairs.

Anyone fancy HH something before lunch?
It is amazing how many things you can get done when you are avoiding doing something else.

I don't know what you mean, Dusty  (tax credits still on my list)

Dancemum - how dashing! Him and the car :D

Mrsmp - Happy 21st Birthday for your DD - what are her plans?

Pigpen - Glad to hear Moomin's first morning went smoothly.

Will try to do, but can't promise anything today .... Nose keeps running about every 5 mins and no, I'm not exaggerating - don't know if it's hay fever or just a cold, but it is v. frustrating to have to stop and mop when you want to get on!

    Howdy

Not getting an awful lot done here although DD has now eaten - but only a few starchy bits. Seems ok with it. She had a lie down earlier but no sleep, and has been playing quite happily. No sign of the beastiness of last week! I think she'll be ok for nursery tomorrow.

So between her and (limited) paid stuff I'm not getting much flying done, only some bedding washed and keeping control of the kitchen. There are toys everywhere but she has said she will pick them up (oh my, she would have screamed at that request a week ago!).

So, being home today, I'll need to go into the office tomorrow, but will need to leave at 2.45 to get back in time for DS swimming. And I'll have to remember to take his swim bag and some food. I better write myself a morning list for tomorrow...

  • The Scottish Power chappie rang and he will ring me again tomorrow at 2pm to organise a date and time for an Inspector to come out. He needs permission from his Manager to authorise this and she's not in until tomorrow. I don't mind waiting if it saves money in the long run.

Bed remade, WM 3 in, washing No. 2 pegged out. Hunger got the better of me and the weather brightened up, so I took my lunch and cuppa outside and chilled for a while. Off to hoover upstairs now, string up my fallen rosebush, then make a brew and read through my lines for tonight.

Reckon that's about HH's worth if anyone needs some company?

So far I've done loads of washing & hanging out, sorted [STRIKE]all [/STRIKE]most of my work papers, updated diary, cleared both chairs and one sofa in the LR and put the stuff which was on them where it should be, sorted smart (ish) clothes for work on Wednesday, totally cleared the coffee table, made a pile of urgent stuff to be done (incl book smear) & put the recycling out. Time for tennis - come on Laura!

Happy 21st to Mrs M-P's DD

I hung out a load of laundry and folded what was out.. I am shattered. Girls are at choir after school so I don't have to dash off to get them..

Had a half hour snooze, quite by accident.. I do unwell very well .. OH still watching the big fat blokes grappling, I am starting to think he has a fetish :p

WM's fed with what dirty stuff there is but nowhere near enough to turn them on.

OH fed the girls.. and himself.. I have pringles... they numb my throat better than the stresils!
