Thank you Natty, for last week's list. I missed your posts during the week, although I read and used the lists every day.
Healing vibes to Dusty, Ionafan and everyone injured in the line of Flying Duty.
For a non-flying day, we don't seem to have done too badly here. I turned out some super-shambolic cupboards and storage areas, planted herb seeds (we don't have a garden or any windowsills, but we are creative about the outside space we do have), purged stinky drains with bicarb and vinegar and OH made marmalade.Better is good enough.0 -

Hi - Back from the paid stuff.
Happy belated birthday wishes, Bossy!
Wedding congratulations to Deus and Mr Deus  Don't start married life with an impeccable house as he'll only come to expect it. Start it a bit wrinkled and improve with age
Thanks for the lists Dusty and Natty - Count me in xx
I'm absolutely shattered so I shall see you all in the morning.

Good morning all
Another beautiful sunny day here. I have just seen a greater spotted woodpecker on the ash tree; the young jackdaws have been out for a short flight with their parents and are now calling to each other from the tops of the trees; and I spotted a young robin taking a worm from our lawn
I think the number of cats in this neighbourhood must be the reason for the general lack of garden birds - there are at least 4 of the beasts, all large Persian types but different colours so easily identifiable
I did 2 loads of washing yesterday evening, as the plumber is coming at 8.00 this morning and I probably won't be able to do any more during the day. So I must have my shower now and get the washing hung out - can I beat my neighbour to it? She is another early bird!
Today we have just the plumber and his son to cope with. DH and I each have a "new patient" appointment with the GP practice nurse this morning, then I have a list of phonecalls and G00gle searches as long as my arm to make. But I am going out this evening to our old wives group for a gentle pub-type quiz, which should be fun and of course leaves plenty of time for [STRIKE]gossip [/STRIKE]catching up with all the latest news
Mustn't forget to put stewed lamb in the SC for our meal tonight... A bit hot for summer, maybe, but very very tasty!
Hope everyone has a good week. (((Hugs))) and spoons to all who need them. Also :coffee: on offer throughout the day, as the workmen work better when kept well-oiled with an hourly cuppa0 -
Children all kicked out of bed.. I just got dot and squeak up and told them to go resurrect most of them lol. The inhabitant appears to be full of springiness today too so my poor insides want to run away lol. I feel like grot.. Please dong let this sore throat turn any worse than it already is!!
Cats jumping all over the house so I best go round th up and boot th outside.. There are millions of cars here too Iona and lots of very brave birds it is mice mine usually bring home... Most often alive too!! I do sometimes manage to rescue them in time. I took one off polly a few days ago and released it under the shed and she spent 2 hours looking for it in the place she had last seen it.. This is one of the clever cats!!!
Guess I should get dressed and at least show willing and hope Mormons boots are dry after she wore them kayaking last week!!!! Suede boots and rivers are not friends!!! Good job we have a spare pair.. It doesn't have her raise on but they will do for a couple of days I even put the heating on last night to try to dry them quicker!!
DD2 at college this week for her induction and DS2 has to on to college for something.. He was a bit vague.
Moomin has her first day at the new primary today too. I hope she enjoys if as much as Tiddles does.. She comes out of school smiling now!!! Oooh that reminds me.. It is their sports day today!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Morning All
Thanks for this weeks list Dusty, I am in. I got all my list completed over the weekend, even got kids rooms tidied, hoovered & dusted & bedding all changed, they have been warned about keeping it tidy! I made a start on the ironing mountain yesterday afternoon before taking kids to Pizz@ Hut & the cinema as a treat for their excellent work in school this year.
Piggers – Good luck with Moomin today starting the new school today.
DH has a lawyers appointment this morning with 3 of his work colleagues, they found out someone got their redundancy after the cut off date for voluntary redundancy & they were told they weren’t getting it (they are all going to the new company) I think they are peeing in the wind but no harm in trying, union is paying for the lawyer. To be fair, none of them would have been in this position of looking for another job but one of the “top men” in the company ‘advised’ them, off the record that they should look for employment elsewhere so we shall wait and see what happens.
Flying will commence tonight, after the paid stuff, I have already asked DH to hoover stairs for me. I have left steam generator & ironing board downstairs ready for more ironing tonight. Deleted whats not needing done.

Moomin went off to the new school quite happily.. very very nervous though.. I took Tiddles to her line and the new class teacher noticed us and came over to introduce herself and had a natter for a couple of minutes and took Moomin off with her.. I was going to take her to the office so she could have bit of a tour again so she knew where to find the loo so I was saved the wander around the school and she went quite happily without any fuss. She also said she was wanting to go to choir after school so I need to ring and check it is actually on today given it is sports day and a lot of children seem to go straight home afterwards usually.
Hayfever playing up today, I've not stopped sneezing for the last 20 minutes and my ears are itching like crazy
Dot demanded a clean nappy and Squeak sat looking at a Simons cat book.. she loves them lol. It looks like Dot's bedhead is going to take a while to brush today.. it is a big bush.
I randomly found a single cocopop on my bed this morning and another in the loo... none anywhere else!! Goodness knows how they got there!
Cuppa, drugs and food time.. I've a couple of lots of laundry to bring in and fold too. Then I might get all carried away and get Henry out.. if I can remember where it is.. I think it is in the hallway and I walk past it 1000 times a day!
Moomins boots are dry but one of the zips appears to be broken so I need to sort her next pair sharpish! I can drop it off to get the raise on tomorrow when we have the hospital appointment after school I guess..
Dancemum.. He looks very handsome.. amazing how they look so much more grown up in their prom gear isn't it?! I hope he had a lovely time.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
