Ever been set up with someone by friends?

Ah give the guy a chance! He might not be a big texter. Plus it's pretty hard to assess someone's personality via text!
It's funny how different men and women interpret a text conversation. My OH responses to me tend to be one worded. I dont read into it, that's just him. If a female friends responds with only a one word answer I'd assume she's !!!!ed off
Have you 2 met face to face?0 -
Mmmh well, I suppose I should probably give it the benefit of the doubt then, just in case.

At least meet for a drink. Don't commit to anything more that way if he really is a snooze fest with the personality of wallpaper you can either get so smashed he'll never call you again, or you can make your excuses and leave.
Then ring your friends that set you up with him and ask what you ever did to them.0 -

Good plan!
I suppose, he really IS quite handsome... 0 -
The difference between a good date and a bad date is usually just chemistry.
I expect your friends think he's a trust worthy, reliable man and there is a lot to be said for that.
If you meet him and there is no chemistry, then no, obviously it's not going anywhere.0 -

Just to stick my oar in, I have one friend who is amusing and witty but her emails and texts are dreadful, it's like a differenet person. She too favours the one word replies, and can be terse to the point of rude. It's so weird because it's so very far removed from what you would expect... anyway so I agree, give it a go
