I'm not out for revenge though, just an appropriate amount for my son so that I don't have to have a slice of toast for lunch because I feel guilty for eating any of the little food that we have.

    At least I know he's running scared. It's a game, isn't it?

    Yes it'a a game.

Are things that difficult for you at the moment?

It has its ups and downs. I managed to get a few extra shifts at work this month so that helps. :) It's less stressful when I know what's coming in and going out though. There's people far worse off then I am, at least he used to pay something. They shouldn't be allowed to do this, it's the equivalent to child neglect. What would happen to the children if their resident parent behaved like this? :(

    Totally agree.

The food bill is the killer. My youngest is 13, 5'11, size 8/9 shoes, 40" chest 32/34 waist and eats like a horse. Back from school it's what is there to eat? He is a cutie though.:D

According to some posters on here the PWC smokes, drinks, goes out on the razz every night and has their hair and nails done. And couldn't care less about their children. The kids are dressed in hands me downs/ clothes too small/holes in them etc.

It gets for very tiring reading.

Mine didn't use to eat much so I'm happy that he is now. The school fees are tough; there's no funding and no statement so if I don't pay it he can't stay there and there's no where else that's suitable. Shoes are £60 a pop as they charge adult prices for children's shoes (crazy!!).

That's a fathers for justice attitude; she won't let me see my child and she's using the maintenance to get her nails done.

I have holes in my socks. :D

His offer is an absolute joke and slightly over 1/3 of the amount on the governments child maintenance calculator. No mention of help with his school fees or the arrears but he's happy to pay for a passport and flights so that my son can go and spend time with someone who isn't bothered about him. I've said this is unacceptable and am trying to find some free legal advice. Oh, and he has 2 houses! I have no idea whether to laugh or cry.

if he has two houses, is this included in your paperwork? because presumably one of those houses is giving him some kind of income?

There's 2 pages of expenses and very little about income. It looks as though one is being rented out but at a lower amount then the mortgage. I'm trying to find a list of allowable expenses as the list is ridiculous - parking and tolls, hairdressers, sky TV, travel insurance, mobile phones, £1,000 a year on clothes and shoes (for him), charity donation, his families birthday presents. Even with his 'expenses' taken off his income it still doesn't add up to what little they have offered or anywhere near. It's an absolute joke!

    Yes it's a joke.

Write ( remember no emails or phone calls) back to the solicitor stating his financials are incomplete as he has not provided his income details. Do not pass any comment like 'it's a joke' or his expenses are just plain over the top.

I feel you will be going to court and this list will not go down well with the judge...

    Keep playing the game x
